3 Simple Ways To Create And Nurture A Reading Habit... by planetpgold(m): 11:14am On Mar 18
Timothy Here Again,

Frankly, turning reading into a habit would have been great because it means that you will be studying on a consistent basis. it's surely going to be a herculean task

But to create the habit and make it stick, you first need to think about the benefits—what will reading bring you? How will it help you in your quest to become an ACA?

After you qualify, what direct benefit will you be getting? How will it affect your career positively especially if you are in a competitive environment?

If you give yourself a few minutes to think about these questions, you’ll start feeding your curiosity about how reading and making it a habit can improve your life. And that’s an excellent place to start.

The next question on your mind is How can you create and nurture a reading habit?

You can do that by:

#1. Create a pleasant ritual you’ll look forward to: If reading is something you know will be an enjoyable experience, you will start looking forward to it. That’s a really great way to make any habit stick! Setting aside 1hour daily and getting all your senses on board is a great way to create a pleasant ritual.

#2. Shut out the noise and everything that distracts you: If you truly want to focus on what’s in front of you, there are a few things you can do to make the process easier. One of them is to get away from environmental distractions and Set your phone to Airplane mode.

#3. Keep a log of what you read: If you want to keep track of what you read, take notes. This will give your reading experience more structure, boost your focus and concentration, improve your cognitive skills, strengthen memory, and engage your critical thinking skills.

This can be achieved by Dedicating a notebook to your reading and Focus on key concepts and their relatedness to other topics.

Knowing what you know now, do you still want to sit on the fence or you still want to get started with your studies despite the fact that you still have the time to write 1 or 2 papers?

The choice is Yours to make after all, time waits for no man...

And...

Whatever excuse you give now for not writing and making it a habit to write in a diet, you still keep on pushing it until Time and chance get caught up with you.
