Na imbeciles fill Naija. My question to you is, how is this a welcomed development? Government scamming and citizens becoming more stupid and foolish by the day. Na why una dey regress. Who and what country does that? Go to other countries. Donations comes from bodies like churches, mosques, companies and individuals. We need jobs and improvement so people can sustain themselves for a long time. Not food for the day and we call this welcomed improvement. Matter of fact: This is a scam. ManirBK: |

When they couldn't ship it to neighboring country for sale they decided to distribute it to the poor all in d name of palliative. If all these bags enter into the market am sure the price of rice will reduce. |

Good and commendable move by the governor, but extreme vigilance must be set up over the palliative distribution, to ensure the beneficiaries get them in full. Some of the government officials would hoard them and divert them to their greedy private pockets and then concoct stories over the palliatives. |

Caramia2020:a state where u still hear no standard hospital among the ones controlled by State and when the federal centres are overwhelmed u start hearing no bed space and the patient and caregiver are helpless.5Billion of that amount can build a standard cardiac or renal centre or even upgrade most of the general hospitals to a better one with good service.or even if na truly them wan use am quench hunger, there are better ways to do it .go to there hospitals and you see malnourish children everywhere.cant they come up with a standard feeding program to take care of this kids.this palliative is just an avenue to divert public fund.state that is yet to implement the 30k minimum wage talking about 12B palliative is an unserious state |

Donald7610: And you think this is the way to ensure access to sufficient, safe and nutritious food? Food sufficiency is not rocket science. What nation has emerged food sufficient by doing this? What's the population of the needy in Kebbi? How many bags of rice were purchased? How would it be efficiently shared and how long would it feed them for? How much did the government buy each bag if rice and how much did it take to repackage it? What you are applauding here is waste and a highway to poverty 1 Like |

ManirBK: OG let's take a deep thought on this. If we consume N12b worth of rice and we aren't producing anything to make this 12b then it's not a "god bless anything prayer" I would prefer you say god forbid |
