INEC do the needful

This is the way forward. Even if the IPad is destroyed in a polling unit, because you have thumb printed already, that vote is already secured in the server.

Smart move, but thugs can prevent people from accessing polling station as they did in Lagos (2023), and Osun (2018 or so).
The solution is to:
1. Make stations usable outside a specified polling unit.
2. Auto-upload disruption and invalidate the process.
3. Disqualify candidates that sponsor violence.
4. Allow offsite accreditation and voting using INEC issued token via NIN matching.

Point 4 looks good. Point 3 most times all the favourite candidates are all guilty difficult to implement.
