The Senator representing Bayelsa West Senatorial District in the Senate, Senator Seriake Dickson, has, during an interview on Inside Sources, a Channels Television programme, found fault in the government of former President Muhammadu Buhari; as he maintained that Nigeria went backwards since 2015 when the All Progressive Congress (APC), took over leadership.

The lawmaker said his claim is not politically motivated, and added that there are facts to back the claim that the APC did not perform well in 2015. He expressed dissatisfaction that the country went off track when the APC took over leadership.

The lawmaker had said, "And I must say in the last ten years, since 2015 in the APC-led government, I mean, I am not here talking about political differences but facts are facts. 2015, this country went steps decades, backwards, all the gains that had been made, in the area of National integration as a way of addressing the crisis of national identity....."
