emkz:It wasn't because Tinubu shouted on Oyegun that he was changed. Oyegun finished his first term but the party did not renew his second term because it was during convention that his replacement was voted for. Before his replacement the party was having internal wrangling and they were having issues in many states of the federation and the party was tilting toward collapse because of lackadaisical attitude towards the management of the party. That's just the story. You may be right, as one of the reasons Oshiobaba was removed was because they saw him doing the bidding of Tinubu but in another flip, some of his NWC saw him as a sole administrator and doesn't carry them along in the business of the party and they had to ganged up against him. Another ache that caused his ouster was his double standard against Obaseki, that many members of the party warned him about but he was adamant and Obaseki used his state machinery from his local government to punctured him. That particular scheme, he could not recovered from it. The appeal court nailed his coffin. You said, Tinubu fought against Buhari. Tinubu didn't fight against Buhari but fought against his own party when he saw the handwriting on the wall that they want to scheme the primary against him. If Buhari was his type and he wants to play politics the way Tinubu always play it, he would not have won that primary. He would have schemed it against him but Buhari played safe and allowed thing to fly. If he had fought against him directly, he would have lost the primary gallantly. Again, he was able to win because nof the religion game played by some party faithfuls and MURIC. MURIC was at the forefront of campaign of calumny against Christian candidate for the presidency and since Tinubu won the election, same MURIC have gone to hiding. The way you people are comparing Tinubu influence in APC with Obi influence in LP is laughable. Tinubu have his lieutenants scatter in APC and he has planted them in strategic places because they are in government, he gets first hand info from them but such cannot be said of Obi. Peter Obi doesn't have control of LP leadership. The leadership has been in place before his arrival and again he doesn't have any post in LP till date. Tinubu is said to be the APC National leader, members of the party use that one to reference him and respect him. What you're seeing outside is not what you're seeing inside when you don't have minute control of the party because of individual self interest. If Peter Obi go beyond his bound I am telling you he will be bruise. If you read keenly what he said, he said Abure refused to do the right thing and that was why he absconded the convention. Meaning he must have told Abure to carry everyone along but he refused. You may even be surprised, he might have sent overture to Ajaero, which that one may declined because of political intrigue and the dead end. However, I want to tell you that their issue will be sorted out in no distance time, if they can do away with external influence. |

Olodo. He's just an ordinary trader, not a leader. Simple. |

Let's assume, and just assume he becomes President, will he ignore the Nigerians behaving same way as LP is doing and not put them to order? Are they not also Nigerians he would be governing or will he create a different country for them and keep only the "saints" he can control under his government? Think twice bro, charity begins at home. Obi lacks that leadership quality. Zeezenho: |

wales4real: Ask your self why is it only LP that its in crisis? The party problem is artificial targeted at obi. he is handling it the best way, his way of problem solving is not what you guys expected.that fan you know see why he is obi the special one. |

wales4real:There is a clear difference between what you have and you don't have. If he is a president, an authority has been repose in him but for now he is not the leader of LP, he is just an ordinary member like others and their former presidential candidate. He has no portfolio to bank on. He can only do settling at the background, as you people want him to go public. If he tries it, he will rock the bolt and the result will be fatal, because he is not chosen by any organ of the party as a leader of the party. Even Tinubu that was supposedly named APC National Leader couldn't resolved APC internal wranglings then that almost consumed the party, that they have to lose many states to oppositions and their National Chairman axed. |

I'm completely disappointed by this statement from Mr Peter Obi, for the first time. How could someone who excelled via the same party in the last election make such assertion? If not for any other thing, the party has a state, about 10 senators, about 50 House of Reps members as well as State Assembly members. What I expected from him was to come up with some reconcilable statements and not to play safe, allowing the party to sink. Let him not allow what Victor Oye talked about his political career becomes his destiny. There is time to man up and embrace responsibilities and that is what he should do Asap. 1 Like |

Brother leave that talk! He has the influence to use his reconciliatory and conflict management skills in the party if he's got. Are the LP executives up to 20 members? If the acclaimed presidential candidate of the party couldn't put the party together, how then can such person govern over 200m Nigerians? IfnobeGod20: |

wales4real:Continue as you want to impress your own ideology to win argument, forgetting that there are guidelines and protocols to everything. Mr. Man, it is not easy as you think, if it is easy PDP will not be having issue till date, Atiku would have resolved all their contending issues. Same with APC. Or you want to tell me APC are not having internal wranglings? There own is even much than any party, what is still keeping the party together is because they are still ruling. If they lose that leadership today, that bond holding them will utterly destroy. No party that doesn't have conflict in Nigeria till date because of self interest and external influence. Cool temper, all will be sorted out. |
