I am trying to connect through my computer to the GUI web interface for my server, and it's not going at all. So, I ran: mii-tool, and it showed: eth0: no link Can anyone help fix this? |

@damola1, Check your ethernet status light on the jack to see if the light is up. Then try another ethernet cable. Hope it solves ur problem. |

thank you for your response. I have bought and tried new cables, cross oh, straight oh, all na same. The light blinks sometimes and not at other times. This is a new install for elastix. |

Try using your mii-tool to autonegotiate and force eth0 to full duplex. Since you said it blinks for a while. |

so far, I have only worked on the direction of someone else and also used youtube, am not really knowledgeable in this field. |

Am not an expert in unix/linux just a thing or two. Am all about cisco. u can negotiate the interface into full duplex with the command mii-tool -F 100baseTX -FD eth0 |

what is your output when you type /sbin/ifconfig (as root)? can you post it here so we can see? |
