The question is how many people have become billionaires from these abandoned projects. Nigeria is a waste of everybody's time.

He only mentioned Federal government ones what about the state ones. Nigerian problem majorly is lack of accountability on the part of previous and present governments.
President, state governors are fond of broadcasting their yearly budgets but cannot broadcast their statement of affairs

The only reason they abandon those projects is so that a previous government won't take the glory...

But, true leaders don't mind who takes the credit, their concern is to get things done.

If only that Ajaokuta steel mills are located in Onitsha, na big industry that will be very profitable. That Ajaokuta is off from most major development hubs.

It's close to the River Niger.

It's close to the source of the iron ore, Itakpe Hills.

It's close to Limestone deposits.

Putting the mill in Onitsha, then shipping all the materials there won't make a bit of sense.

Instead, it would be better to ship the products via Rail and on river barges while raw materials only moved a short distance, so that's why it was placed where it is.

Pray for Nigeria but when time comes to elect good leaders you'll keep prayer aside and vote based on tribe and party affiliations

it is located near the raw material. They were going to mine iron ore to produce the steel.
Not just melting of iron condemn .
Economics 101, industries are sited close to where the raw materials are found to save on transportation.
You can’t be carrying ore that is mostly sand to Onitsha from Ajaokuta.

you don't have to wait for Ajakuta to come to Onitsha, you can build one there or tell Soludo to build it for you.

These are big popular projects. If you visit each state of the country and see the total number of projects abandoned in this country, you will weep for this country.

As for me, I have no fvck to give. I just pity Niger Delta people whose lands have been destroyed and water contaminated for the money that will end in someone's pocket or projects that will never be completed.

The elders in the Niger Delta too like "egwa" money.
Ignoring important matters for so little osusu that even beggars go help dem shame.

We have worse in other countries.

Nevertheless, something needs to be done. Others should be finished and Ajaokuta should be scrapped.

That Federal Government Secretariat building in Lagos also abandoned.
