NOLLYWOOD, To me it all look like a family or private enterprise. No regulations on operations or content. Nigeria wahala. There are no safety agencies at many of our creeks and waterfronts.
Same thing with the Music industry. The exposure can lead to this sort of irreversible sad incident.

You can't drive a car without putting on your seat belt. If you and the passenger in front forget to put in on, the car would begin to give out a loud beeping sound with the seat belt sign showing on the dashboard. So you just have to park somewhere and put it on. Cos the sound won't stop. My car has done that to me several times. Most especially when I'm in a hurry to go somewhere and I forget to put in on.

Jnr Pope and those on that speed boat were just careless. The average Nigerian is extremely careless. Even when you try to encourage them to take safety measures, they'll tell you that you don't have liver.

Me I love my life. Nothing would make me go on a boat trip without a life jacket. If there's no life jacket, I won't enter. Period!

this is lesson to water users but you know people will never learn. After a while, life goes on and people will continue boarding boats without life jackets. Accidents happen to teach us a lesson but due to complacency that nothing will happen, we care less

Niger is no ordinary river. I crossed the river 4 times,3 times without life vest and trust me my conscience was scolding me each of those times. Life is a gift, let's not take it for granted.
