Why Is Visa To Nigeria So Expensive by Sapasenator: 9:21pm On Apr 11 |
The other time, an individual was protesting the the fee being charged Nigerians for US visit visa but no one is talking about the excess fee charged by the Nigerian Government on it's visit visa. The first is $170 USD and after which I also have to pay between Cad$194 -230 to VFS global. This looks like an extortion to me and why are we even charging in two different currencies not used in Nigeria. |

its called RECIPROCITY... some country charges Nigerians 200usd to get a visa, so Nigeria equally charges this country 215usd for visa. same thing that Brazil just did, from Today onward, Americans/Canadians and Australians need an E-visa to come to Brasil, while any other 1st world country dont need anything to go to Brazil. RECIPROCITY! i really dont see where the problem is here. 1 Like |

MrBrownJay1: We charge $170usd for application and on top of that, an additional fee of $195 cad going to a private company working with VFS Global. That will be more than $300usd in the end. Also I have to pay in two separate currencies, way to expensive and cumbersome. |

Sapasenator: at the end, these people can charge whatever they want, and nobody can say/do anything about it (but pay OR dont travel there). BTW cant we get visa on arrival any longer in Nigeria? |
Re: Why Is Visa To Nigeria So Expensive by Sapasenator: 9:33pm On Apr 11 |
MrBrownJay1: I guess I have no choice then but Nigerians should never complain when charged a high processing fees by these countries. I feel I am being extorted though. Who owns Thebez Global Resourses the private company in charge of visa processing for Nigerian government. |
