Earlier today, Bobrisky was jailed for six months for “mutilation of the Naira”. More shocking is the fact that he was NOT given option of fine.

In other words, he is to spend 6 months in jail for abusing Naira!

To be honest and in all sincerity, the judgement is not fair. His offence is a minor financial crime. He didn’t embezzle money, rob or scam anyone. He only sprayed money like most other Nigerians do.

Culturally, or let me say socially, most Nigerians spray money at events. From wedding to Funeral, birthday, house warming. Some even do “money bouquet” gift using the Naira as ‘raw material’. Naira abuse is a common offence in Nigeria but singling out one person for 6 months imprisonment is totally unfair and sounds like witch-hunting.

We are all clamoring for a better Nigeria but shouldn’t be happy with sensational judgement.

As a first time offender, in all fairness, his jail time should have been at most 1 month with an option of fine (say 100k).

If we fail to condemn the evil today, tomorrow you and I may be the victim.

his "offense" is being a yeye crossdresser making loud noise on SM. his sentence is just a warning to all the yeye crossdressers of Nigeria (making noise online) that Nigeria is against such practice and anyone into crossdressing better watch out.

just because there is no law against crossdressing in Nigeria, doesnt mean it is not frown upon by the gov/masses etc

i can never condemn whats happening to him, as i believe it is a great deterrent for future crossdressers who may view bobrisky as their role model.

You're sick in the head.
The law is very clear.
