Selective Justice is Injustice. The person that pleaded guilty and leniency was jailed for 6 months. Meanwhile the person that arrogantly pleaded not guilty with evidences of him being guilty all over the internet was granted bail.

Nigeria my Country.

My brother or sister.. The workings of the law is what everyone should be accustomed to. If to say sisterhood no plead guilty.. He would have been granted bail for sure and upon perfecting bail condition. S/HE would have been able to negotiate with efcc and the rest would have been history as in the case of Nairamarley. So don't blame the courts (doing so would mean ignorance) blame sisterhood and his /her lawyer.
Bobrisky lawyer sent him to jail not the court.
Even the 6months jail term is actually 3months

He was granted a bail not absolved. He may even get a longer sentence than Bobrisky.

There's no injustice here, it could have been a fake note. Did anyone confirm the said cash to be real or fake? It's easy to say if was for clout chasing and that's it. Even if it was a real note grin grin.

I don't understand some people's sense oh haha. The offense is a bailable offense na being granted bail doesn't mean the end of the case.

Bob risky own na brain problem, for this naija how would you plead guilty for such minor offense?

Why would he take such advice in the first place?

If na capital offense now I for say they just wan the judge to be lenient... Once you plead guilty the next thing is judgement but the problem be say he's a general nuisance even to the judge that's why he no give am option of fine coz normally he for pity am small for pleading guilty.

With his influence and money that case could be dragged till everyone will forget about it.

With all the big big charges they slammed that monpha guy abi wetin be the correct spelling self, the case never get head till now. If say na for Naija Dem arrest hushpuppy he for even contest for last election.lol.

When you plead guilty on time, you are likely to get the minimum.

If you wait till you are found guilty you may get gruesome sentencing.

Pleading guilty is a bargaining strategy lawyers often use in a case that's obvious and open to everyone.

The minimum sentence the law recommends for Naira abuse is 6months. The judge can decide to give 5years. Every case will be heard on it's merit.

No law in Nigeria, what we have is just to save face as a nation. They are only applicable to some set of people.
One of the thing I love about the western... Your money and influence is nothing is you break any law. Trump as a former world power is facing criminal charges, a common Counsellor in Nigeria can't face criminal charges, talk more of ex-president.

The law is for the poor or the less privilege.

a very big shame on Nigeria system, Bobrisky was arrested for similar offense and he was jailed and now it is turn of Cubana chief priest, the table turn... God bless the united States of America, Rkelly was arrested and prosecuted, Pdiddy case is still on now, they don't do selective justice but you see this hell called Nigeria, a very big shame on us all....
Oga, there is nothing shameful here, seems you may not understand how the justice system works.
Bob pleaded guilty seeing the evidence was overwhelming, he asked for leniency. His case was given judgement instantly, unfortunately without option of fine. If he had pleaded not guilty, the alledged offense is bailable by law, so he would have been granted bail pending his trial.
The current fellow pleaded not guilty and chose to go for trial. He was granted bail, as the offense is bailable. It is left for his legal team to defend the charges against him.
Re: Davido Reacts To Cubana Chief Priest's Arraignment & Bail by MANNABBQGRILLS: 3:32pm On Apr 17
The bail bond normally stipulates that the defendant cannot be released until he brings a surety (someone who will assure the court that the defendant would always be in court). The terms may also include a requirement that the surety must be someone who has money worth certain amount, example 50M. THIS HOWEVER DOES NOT MEAN that the defendant SHALL pay the 50M as a condition for his release. No! What it means is that if the defendant jumps bail (fails to appear in court when required and as agreed upon in the bail bond without cogent reason), his surety shall forfeit the money. But if he appears in court all the time, the money remains his own.

By reason of the foregoing, whenever you hear that someone had been granted 10M bail, know that what the court means is that anyone who is to stand as a surety to the defendant must afford 10M and shall forfeit the 10M Naira if the defendant jumps bail. Simple!

This is just like a case of two sinners

The first r sinner tell God. My Lord I know I am a sinner, I truly sorry of my si, I am guilty of the offense u accuse me of, infact I will use my influence to preach to the world in other for them to repent don't put me into jail.

The second sinner came and stood for his judgement, God ask him are u guilty of the offense that u have been accused of. He answered, Lord I am not guilty without any remorse and God set him free and went home and start bragging about how smart he is.

Do u think God can act this way?

I don't understand how our judiciary works?
I am yet to understand

The Law is Blind...

It didn't see Funkey Akindele,

it didn't see Kubana,

It only see Bob-Risky.

That is not equality before the Law.

Injustice?

Preferential judgments?

God saved him that he didn't plead guilty, nah after 6month unah go see am..

I wonder what bobrisky lawyers were doing for telling him to plead guilty, it look like his lawyers plan this with the people in authority to punish him...

But honestly, we need to get our definition of mutilation right sha
According to the CBN, spraying is mutilation. Should be an interesting court case to follow.
