The equator is like a big imaginary line that goes around the middle of the Earth like a belt. It divides the Earth into two halves, the northern half and the southern half. It's where the weather is usually warm and there are lots of jungles and rainforests. Imagine it as the Earth's middle line where it's always sunny and warm!



1. You cannot walk on a straight line directly at the equator.

3. There is no gravity directly on the equator.

4. The direction of coiling of your hair is based on where you are in relation to the equator.
There is a coiling direction at the root of every body's hair. Your hair is more coiled the farter you are away from the equator.

5. Equal Day and Night: 12 hours day time and 12 hours night time throughout the year.

6. Hurricane can never cross the equator. It spin clockwise on the north and counter-clockwise at the south of the equator.

10. The equator is the only place on Earth where the sun is directly overhead at noon on the equinoxes, which occur around March 20th and September 22nd each year.


11. Due to the Earth's bulging shape at the equator, the highest point on Earth's surface above sea level is not Mount Everest, but rather the peak of Ecuador's Mount Chimborazo.





I think the government should include (and make compulsory) in school curriculum (at all level) visual (multimedia) presentation of to topic especially in STEM.

Also, like other countries are already doing, "Emotional Intelligence" should be include in school curriculum as a subject compulsory at all level of education.
