FG don't need to target any vehicle production. Nord, Innoson and others are already producing. Just make a police that all government/MDA's/parastatals hence forth must buy any of the local vehicles. However any individual that don't want to use can use his personal income to buy the likes of Toyotas, Mercedes Benz etc. Any government budged vehicles must be local. Then I know you are serious and not foolish. 1 Like |

She should say what exactly the FG has done to provide an enabling environment to boost production and local content for the industry. I can't think of any .... but can know of what was done to suffocate the local industry .... like having foreign car companies set up plants locally with no protection for the local industry. Thus is the very FG that spends billions in importing cars for politicians and government agencies. Did she and her entourage go to the meeting with local cars?.... does her ministry have local cars? Shameless and arrogant hypocrites everywhere. 1 Like |

Empower INNOSON and co who are already into production and ensure that all government officials vehicles are being contracted to them to deliver. If we little our roads with INNOSON like Toyota are dominant on Nigeria roads more local manufacturers will be motivated. |

Jamie248: Top manufacturing companies are generating electricity themselves since time immemorial. Hypo, Lucky fibre, pz etc in Ikorodu generate with CNG which is cheaper at the long run. Caleb University does too. Your point is becoming stale and no more an excuse. Moreso, you don't have to be all-negative everytime |

My own question is which agency is monitoring the safety standards of each components in Car manufacturing or assembling in Nigeria before they are pushed out to the Market just like you have the following in USA (The US Motor Vehicle Safety Certification Authority is the United States Department of Transportation (DOT), whose subordinate departments include Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Administration (FMCSA), |
