Like d ones I saw yesterday, a mother and her children, 4 or 5 kids or so and the highest age isn't up to 10 years. You go think say na 7 days dem take senior themselves. All of them just small.


Birth spacing should be at least 4 to 5 yrs between siblings, so when you're having your third or last child, d older siblings will be a bit mature and less stress to you.

birth spacing doesn't apply in naija, can only work in early marriages. Most ladies getting married at the age of 35, 40, or late 40s, some 50s. which birth spacing she wan do again, until menopause will click in.

I'm also expecting a first child, and I do feel for our mothers/women, they in most cases go through this children rough play torture alone, while men goes to the street of course to fend for their families.

I don't think they actually know anything at 0 to 2 years. Maybe three years but before then... Well, some people start discipline right from the start. Even when most parents feel the kids don't understand.

Mine is already driving me bonkers and she hasn't gotten to that age yet, once she's awake trust me no more sleeping for you. I'm already contemplating running away for a week perhaps she will calm down. My phone screen is gone and changing it is one heck of money thanks to my madam who decided to use it as gum scratcher.

What a coincidence!I'm at the family house right now,one of my sisters is here with her 3 kids (four kids perhaps, but the eldest who is a 14 year old kid has gone back to a boarding school),the rug is extremely wet on one portion at the main parlour,the tile in their rooms have always been sticky with soda eventhough the maid mops it up every once in a while.Cups,plates, spoons scattered everywhere.Just three kids O!But I can't say the same about my eldest sister and her six kids some years back when they were younger;if you do anyhow you go collect.She's raising her kids the same way mum raised us;how can I believe that at the moment I can admonish my old mum that possessed that white cable for koboko wey if you do anyhow you go see anyhow.Wow! Time...

Raising children can be hard but I think disciplining them early in life helps to curb their excesses. Children always believe they can get away with any misdeed because of the love their parents have for them and their 'cuteness factor'. Any parent that falls for it will find himself/herself being manipulated by his/her child.

When my daughter was about 2 years old, she had a nasty attitude of hitting her head on the wall whenever she was angry or was denied of something. Sometimes, she'll destroy anything on sight just to prove her point. Her mum will try to indulge her by giving her whatever she requested. That only made her become worse. By the time I swung into action, that 'evil spirit' left her and she turned a new leaf. Me wey no get time for rubbish.

It always surprises everyone how my children can be so calm and well behaved. They rarely damage anything in the house talk less of injuring themselves or other children. When people ask me what's the strategy, I say it's prayer. But deep down, it's strategic discipline.

Yes, they sometimes play rough but it's not anything major. Their rough plays could be messing up the house by throwing clothes & shoes all around, tearing their books in the name of making paper arts, writing jargons on different pages or watching cartoons and acting it out. Occasionally, they ride their bicycles or use their tabs.

Raising children can be hard but I think having great parenting skills help a lot. With their mum, they can do & undo. They always stress her to the point where she'll shout and yell. But with me, they are always on their best behaviour.
