Yes,the Madrid City demolished 4-0 last year was stronger.They are operating a makeshift defensive line up and their midfield is aging and the young ones cannot be compared to Kroos and Modric of last year.Then in attack they have yet to replace Benzema,employing different makeshift forwards or a false 9.
That they won the LaLiga doesn't mean their team is great,just that the likes of Barca fell off badly and Athletico,even if you field Real and Barca Under 21s throughout the season,will most times come behind these 2.
Its not necessarily because a club wins a league means it has a very good team,their opponents may just have been poorer.
