I flew Dana Air last year, I was scared in that aircraft. It seemed somehow light and the landing was just somehow. Not surprised to hear something like this. True, they offer cheap airfare, but it shouldn't be at the risk of people's lives.

I flew Dana from PH to Lagos last year too, the whole plane looked like cardboard joined together. I knew something like this would happen soon. The planes are so terrible. 1940s model plane.

It’s not done like that in any part of the world. Investigations would have been done before all was grounded.

A single aircraft having an accident in a fleet calls for a thorough check of fleet, which investigators can use to reach a conclusion.

No expert would just out of thin air ground a fleet because of a single accident. Its safety.

If you read the comments from the beginning till mine, you would have know my stand on this.

Are you sure of other aircrafts in their fleet?,nothing is wrong with the ministers directives. When two Boeing 737 max crashed all 737 max were grounded until they completed their investigation.

It is not a single accident, what about the one that happened some couple of years back when many Nigerians lost their life on same route Abuja to Lagos.

Safety first before anything. You ignore this fact. Business comes after safety. So if there are safety concerns, it is necessary for it to be shutdown for proper investigation. If they allow work proceed with investing on then it is possible other flights may be affected too.

No point being sentimental. Na one life we get.

There are a number of reasons that could make a plane skid off a runway that would necessarily no have anything to do with the status of the plane. So yes, I agree with the guy you quoted.

Then that number of reasons should be addressed as it poses threat to life. That's still a safety concern. I don't know what you are insinuating. You want to hear that the plane is faulty first before they shutdown? Even if the runway is the problem as the post suggests, it's still a safety concern.

If I were the minister of aviation I wouldn't wait for people and plane to crash before ordering for a comprehensive audit of the airline's safety protocols, maintenance procedures, and financial health.

I don't believe it too harsh because it involves human lives, while waiting for the investigation something can go wrong and life may be lost.

Keep quiet. Nothing is harsh there. You are saying this because you don't go to anywhere using flight. If you do, you'll understand flight isn't what anyone should joke with. Dana Air has been problematic for a long time. So, let them go and put their house in order before a repetition of Sosoliso incident occurs in the country again.

This is long overdue, you seem not to have flown Dana air of recent, very old planes.
My PA made the stupid mistake of putting us on it some months ago, the inside be like bus.
We need to avoid another national disaster from them, they seem not to have learnt from the previous experience

Arbitrary high-handedness, various factors can be responsible for a plane skidding off the tarmac and this is certainly not totally restricted to the pilot/planes fault......The infrastructure might be bad and a major factor in the accident. Keyamo should have waited for the investigation report while requesting a thorough scrutiny of DANA airlines' maintenance and compliance logs in the interim shocked

The proactive term here is to prevent an actual fatal crash and loss of lives like the one which happened to Dana and sosiliso airline years ago.
