A Sure Way To Fix The Nation. by meobizy(f): 10:51pm On Apr 25 |
A one-man presidency is a flawed system. It never worked for us and never will. Why don't we try new methods? Are Atiku and Obi serious about trying to rule the nation? Give both of them deputy presidentship roles aimed at tackling our poor power supply. Two heads are always better than one, right? Let's put the saying to practice. If they can't come up with a solution in four years, there is no point of them contesting in 2027. We should not allow any trickery of them fixing the situation in the fourth year in a bid to steal an election win. We require a two or three year sure fix. If that works, both men can battle it out in the next election to become Tinubu's successor. How about security issues? Get another set of two men promising to turn the nation around, assign them the co-presidents' role aimed at securing the nation. Let's see what magic they conjure. Little by little, using such system, the country will get back on track. Since such setup involves a little thinking, nobody will attempt it. |

A LOT OF NAIVETE IN YOUR APPROACH. OBI AND ATIKU JUST WANT TO ANSWER "MR PRESIDENT" THEY HAVE ALREADY BEEN "INTERVIEWED IN THE PAST" TINUBU WAS GOVERNOR ATIKU WAS VICE PRESIDENT OBI WAS GOVERNOR THAT WAS THEIR INTERVIEWING STAGE. NIGERIANS SELECTED BASED ON THEY PERFORMANCE THEN. WE HAVE CURRENT GOVERNORS AND MINSTERS, THAT WILL PERFORM BETTER THAN OBI AND ATIKU. 1 Like |

mrvitalis:That will be the equivalent of making them presidents already. Atiku will want that. My idea is making them deputy presidents with assigned duties. It is more of a step above senators only that they make decisions without prior approval from anyone past the sitting president. The men will be on a probation period of sort, hence will be forced to act to the benefit of the masses. |

MindHacker9009:250 presidents every four years is not feasible. That is what LGA chairmen are for. |

eepeepook: It is feasible and less money will be wasted on election campaigns as each presidential candidates will only campaign in their local government area. 1 Like |

For me, no idea is bad/silly. How do they share portfolios (so none is just going to where funds can be looted? Can they work/serve for free - our cost of serving 1 president is already too much, how will having 3 be financially? Serving for free will remove pretenders claiming they want to serve the public but only want to loot the Treasury. Can they show the public their homework? Can they tell what and especially HOW they intend to FUND their initiatives while in power - it is not enough to say I will go to Algeria to ask how they fixed their rail or power systems... We don't have more of our lives to give to their unproven ideas or unpreparedness. A BIG PROBLEM WE OFTEN DO NOT TALK ABOUT IS THE CRIMINALLY OVER-INFLATION OF THE COST OF INFRASTRUCTURES IN NIGERIA - look at costs of our hospitals, schools, roads, airport etc. so even if we have enough revenue (and we don't), we still would not develop. Compare 2 countries setting up an infrastructure investment like Gas provision. One did her projects at 12 times the cost of the other, so by the 3rd year one has started making profit, but the inflated project will take another 8 years to recoup and profit! That's what we did with NLNG, COJA/ABUJA STADIUM etc WE CANNOT BE SUPPLYING ELECTRIC METERS OF JUST $13 AT N81.975.16 to N143,836.10 - IT MAKES THE COMPANY UNPROFITABLE FOR TOO LONG and with consumers inability to bear ever increasing bills, the whole project will collapse. WE CANNOT BE BUILDING ROADS AT N1b/KM and develop. 1 Like 1 Share |

meobizy:you have a good point but the issue here is that, it will open those positions to more looting and more cost of governance and finally it might not yeild any result and the end of the day...Nigeria and Africans matter are just too complicated. 2 Likes 1 Share |

DMerciful:that is not the point bro, the matter is let say today now, all the rigions are giving autonomy to choose their leaders....South East can never accept Obi to be their leader..they will rather go for someone like Nnamdi Kanu...I am sure u know what am saying even if u don't want to say it out. |

Auxtan:I hot your point bro, like seriously I understand you more than you understand yourself...sebi na d same party them dey? Why he no go get same respect Obi get...but my brother I dey alive when Obi was governor in Anambra and I remember how things are that time u can not come out today and start repainting him I am still saying this...if all regions are granted the privilege to choose out leader, Anambra people will not choose Obi even all East will not choose Obi...u know and I know, u don't need to say it out, continue ur repainting Mr. Painter. |

kenny160:Lol, I no get time for this your talk but take it from me, Obi is the most rated past leader in the South East even before he contested to be president. Is a fact that you don't have to agree with but it's the truth. |
