How can a road safety official say this? This is scary! You people should be trained for medical emergencies...CPR training and even how to resuscitate in cases of SCA...you are first responders as per your job and you should also have paramedics on ground and not just be collecting chicken change from drivers

Road safety officials work is now to be confirming accidents and casualty figures. They have abandoned their core duty of high way patrol and enforcement and seizure of articulated vehicles on federal highways. They are everywhere in the inner city centers, harassing motorists going about their normal business. Imagine if the FRSC within that axis was on a regular patrol, they would have picked up the victim, apply CPR/FIRST AID, and take him to the nearest hospital. They only appear when the damage has been done, to evacuate bodies in their pickup vehicle. FRSC should go back to the law that established them under IBB. Their job is on the federal high ways not on the hidden corners of inner streets in various cities in Nigeria.

This case happened last weekend or early this week.

The lady inside the bus was the one who updated people on X(Twitter) for assistance as she's not a medical personnel.

And people told her what they can do.

But unfortunately as a country that didn't value life, for good whole 3 hours no help from anywhere.

What happened to this man is preventable and avoidable and it can happen to anyone but guess what killed the man. The poor state of the country results from many years of mismanagement by the so called leaders you people always supported.

Another one happen in ibadan yesterday.
The woman was laying on the floor waiting for the ambulance to arrive. It happen around bishop Philip academy along iwo road Ibadan.

Please if you see someone having a seizure, on a flat and firm surface, lay him/her on their side.

Clear the environment of objects.

Give them enough space. It is not time to crowd them with camera or ehya.

You can lift the head with any small soft cloth.

It is the least you can do before help gets to them. This is not a CPR situation.

If what is above is truly from the State Sector Commander of FRSC, he should resign!!!

What is he talking about If there are accidents on highway, who are the first emergency responders that will assist the victims in giving first aid, stabilisation and also take them to the nearest hospitals

How can he say he deals with crashes only and not health related matters on highway

According to the report he had died even before the driver could find help, its not as if they were stranded if it was convenient the driver could have driven into the nearest hospital ...
besides when there is an health emergency is it Frsc you will be looking for or health center

Frsc were informed after he died, they just have to make it clear they can't give an official report on such an incident
