I guess if the snake had confronted you head on you for take off with the way you use stone press am you took full advantage of the head been buried in the hole.

Man, I would have killed it still if I have a long stick or stones cause I have heard of stories where people get beaten by snakes just by stepping on them and I value human lives more

This one kills within 30 minutes.

Firstly, the shape of its head shows it's a viper.

Secondly, what type of viper? Horn, pit, sand, Russell, bush, forest, butterfly, Carpet, Gaboon?

I guess that's an African brown bush viper.

You shouldn't have killed it. The snake is in it's own habitat. It's just like an armed robber going on an operation, seeing you by the window side while you are inside your house and just decides to kill you just for nothing just to test his shooting ability. Lol

What do you mean by he shouldn't kill it?
Isn't the snake hunting for kills?

Abi na when the snake whine op then you'll give another sermon on how to kill snakes?

With the way,we are here killing wild animals recklessly without recourse, meh! Don't worry people
Wild animals will soon have their turn on humans as we can reckon in the Book of Revelations, which ironically 90% of Nigerian pastors avoid like a plague or Ebola.
You can play your flute to summon them quickly. Lol

On my way to farm this morning I decided to go through a farm where palm wine is tapped so I can get fresh palm wine for my stomach.

I reached a point where I see a crab always at the entrance of it's hole but didn't see it today so I decided to look around when I saw this snake with its head in a hole and its body outside not moving. I knew it was alive cause it looked fresh.

Cut long story short I killed it with a huge stone I simply dropped on it and saw frogs coming out of the hole it had its head in.

Who can Identify this snake please?

It's called ọgbà in yoruba. My late dad killed one in front of me before. It's venomous so be very careful bro.

I admire you people that have the courage to face these deadly serpents. I myself try as much as possible to stay away from all sorts of snakes, both animal and human.
I started killing snakes when I was 12 years. I will first of all run and later come back to kill it.
