From the tender age of 18, Igwilo embarked on an entrepreneurial journey that would lay the foundation for his illustrious career. In 2002, Igwilo, obtained a National Diploma in Information Technology (IT) and also Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) from CTU in Cape Town.
In 2004, Igwilo obtained an Associate Degree in Management from the Graduate School of Business, University of Cape Town, laying the groundwork for his academic odyssey. Building upon this foundation, he continued to ascend the academic ladder, earning accolades and recognition at every step. Then in 2005, he added another feather to his cap with a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from the same esteemed institution. Undeterred by the challenges posed by academia.

His quest for knowledge knew no bounds as he delved deeper into the intricacies of finance and economics. In 2006, Igwilo obtained the prestigious Licensed International Financial Analyst (LIFA) certification from The International Research Association, solidifying his position as a stalwart in the field of finance. However, Igwilo's academic journey was far from over. In 2007, he earned a Masters in Business Administration, specializing in Corporate and Structured Finance, Economics, Strategy, and Investment from the Graduate School of Business, University of Cape Town, further honing his expertise in the intricacies of financial markets.

His thirst for global perspectives led him to the London Business School in 2008, where he participated in an MBA Exchange Programme, focusing on Project Finance, Project Management, and Economics of Financial Markets. Armed with insights from one of the world's premier business schools, Igwilo emerged as a force to be reckoned with in the international arena.

Continuing his pursuit of excellence, Igwilo obtained an LLM in International Commercial Law from the Salford Business School, University of Salford - Manchester, in 2017. Igwilo's academic odyssey culminated in 2019 when he obtained a Ph.D. in Economics and Management Sciences from the University of South Africa (UNISA). He has published academic papers in globaly recognised journals, also as an examiner, he has examined Ph.D and Masters students. He was recently appointed as a visiting Lecturer and part-time staff of the University in the Department of Business Administration and Public Policy at a Nigerian University.
