when Landmark built that business the original design for the road was suppose to be in front, all of a sudden they change it to the back. Landmark should sue them to court to pay for the remainder of the bsuiness. I dont think any sane person will invest in Lagos, when u can go and invest in Ghana or Sierra Leone or Senegal and your investment wont be turn to tribal bigotry People dont come to Nigeria, they go to other African countries, like Ghana, Kenya, South Africa even Uganda etc. He should pack up Land Mark and move to another African country. 2 Likes |

Watch from 39:40, listen to what this African American from the Carribean have to say about Tinubu demolition of Landmark. U know they think it is Igbo dey are dealing with but the whole world is watching and so is God. Soon, to find investors in Nigeria will be like winning lottery. Nigerians themselves will invest in other African countries leaving Nigeria behind. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TegCCg36Zyw 1 Like |

Bliss4Lyfe: Is Landmark the only beach resort being affected? What about that owned by the Oniru family? The map you are using there - can you not see that the set backs mean that several high rise buildings would be impacted? Finally have you read the National Environmental (Coastaland Marine Protection) Regulations 2011 gazetted by a PDP government? What is happening here is the cry that if I build $100m edifice and nobody stopped me, it should be allowed to stay even if it contravenes the law. The reason Heathrow and Gatwick are among the world's busiest airports is simply because different UK governments compulsorily acquired land in the "overriding public interest" In the case of the coastal road there was NO compulsory acquisition because the land belongs to the FGN. If as the CEO of a company with independent shareholders, I build on land belonging to the government and I lose that building what would happen to that CEO? What action would an independent board take? Your guess is as good as mine. The moral is - do not imagine that friends will be in power forever - do what is right and then defend it in court with your blood. Let's not put unnecessary emotion in what is a poor evaluation of risk by the Landmark CEO. A $200m investment does not give you higher rights than a poor man who builds a wooden house under a power line. That is the country we need to build. If the FGN shows inconsistency in any area after this, then let us light them up. For now, they have done nothing wrong. 8 Likes 1 Share |

I don't have a problem with you dividing the country that is you have the power to, that aside. Why are some of you igbos so mischievous n devilish ? Where in the video for Umahi claim Tinubu told him reconfigure the road away from the SE ? What is also wrong with the explanation that moving the coastal road away from the coast means it is no longer a coastal road ? Do you have more intelligence than Umahi that made that that choice on behalf of millions of Nigeria or who should have the right to design the road ? Does that never deem it fit to embark on the project or those that believe the country could be transformed with the project n invested trillions they could have looted with your likes not able to do a thing about it. Who should have that right ? Is it a you that is nobody, you that never wished those undertaking the project well ? Bliss4Lyfe: 5 Likes 1 Share |
