Christian Zionism- Examining The Reason For Warmongering Among Evangelicals by SOSPITAS(m): 7:43am On May 05
Our minds are molded, our taste formed, our ideas suggested, largely by the people we have never seen or heard off – Edward Bernays

What is Zionism: this is an idea which envision a state that is exclusively Jewish and manifestly seeks to creates a practical system for the accumulation (of power, land and ideological legitimacy) and displacement (of people, ideas and prior legitimacy) in that regard. It is a settler colonial project where the occupiers stay with an end goal to replace the indigenous population.
All this is aptly captured in the words of the founder of Zionism Theodore Herzl which state: “we must demolish and destroy before we can construct”. Although controversial, much of America’s contemporary war on terror, its support to the State of Israel and its antagonism towards Israel’s enemies can be connected to a strong pro-Israeli lobby within America, which, in turn, derives much support from Christian Zionists.
Christian Zionism: A political theology that relates the modern state of Israel to biblical Israel. It gives a divine endorsement of the modern state of Israel
Foremost proponent of Christian Zionism:
Pat Robinson – founder of CBN
John Hagee ¬– senior pastor of cornerstone church
Tim LaHaye – Author of left behind series & why you act the way you do

The 6 tenants of a Christian Zionist and biblical rebuttals
1) The Jews are Yahweh special people (Exodus 19:5,6)
Ans: No, not anymore; God no longer grants special favor to any person on the basis of birth or geography but by faith and conduct. Both jews and non jews could be Yahweh special people according to the bible (1 Peter 2:9,10 & Acts 10:34, 35).
2) The existence of the modern state of Israel is a fulfillment of the end time prophecy
Ans: False. The modern State of Israel to this day bases its claim to statehood on a UN resolution and what it calls the natural and historic right of the Jewish people and not an act of Yahweh. It is governed as an apartheid state masquerading as a secular democracy that officially makes no claim to rely on the God of the Bible.
3) The believe that the modern state of Israel is a continuation of biblical Israel and should enjoy special privileges
Ans: False. In the year 33 C.E., the fleshly nation of Israel lost its claim to be God’s chosen nation when it rejected Yahweh’s Son, the Messiah. The Messiah himself put it this way: “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the killer of the prophets and stoner of those sent forth to her . . . Look! Your house is abandoned to you.” (Matthew 23:37, 38) Jesus’ statement came true when in 70 C.E., Roman legions destroyed Jerusalem along with its temple and priesthood.
4) The believe that the land from the Nile River to the Mediterranean is promise to Israel for time indefinite (genesis 15: 18)
ANS: first of, the Jews constitute only part of ancient Israel, there are 10 tribes unaccounted for today that can lay divine claim to the land. Genetic study has even shown that the Palestinian gene closely relate to ancient remains found on that land dating back 2000yrs, perhaps they’re descendant of the lost tribe. Nevertheless, even if the land was promised to jews, the scriptures in (Ezekiel 47:21-22) instructed that the land should be divided equitable among all that dwell therein including strangers. God makes conditions for living on the land, as written in Deuteronomy: "Justice and only justice you shall pursue, so that you may live and occupy the land that the Lord your God is giving you" (Deut. 16:20.). finally, In the same vein, Jesus in reference to Psalm 37: 11 said the meek will inherit the ‘earth’ which includes the ‘promised land’ of Israel.
5) The believe that Christian blessing is linked to their support of the state of Israel and its policy whatsoever
Ans: False (the blessings of God are captured and laid bare by Christ in his Sermon on the mountain – Mathew 5)
6) The basis of the Jewish state in Palestine is the messianic vision of the redemption of the kingdom of Israel and all of mankind
Ans: false; Jesus never defined his messiahship in terms of an earthly king who frees Israel from Roman rule, even though such an expectation was prevalent and even though the disciples’ minds were still on political restoration (Lk 24:21; Ac 1:6; cf. Mt 16:21–22; Mk 8:31–32; Lk 17:20; Jn 6:15). In answer to the disciples’ query about the restoration of the ‘kingdom of Israel’ (Ac 1:6), Jesus answered that the rise of the community of believers in Jesus from Jerusalem to the ‘ends of the earth’ (Ac 1:7–8; Mt 28:19), would fulfil the traditional hope for the redemption of mankind including israel and will herald the second coming.
What should be the Christian position as inferred from the scriptures
It is clear that the scriptures do not uphold any government neither does it promote one ethnic group or people over another (Galatians 3:28- There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus). (Acts 10:34-35- Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: but in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him).
Christian should not support any political movement especially the one that has at its core the expulsion of an ethnic group from their ancestral land (Ezekiel 47:21-22; Deut. 16:20).
Christian should be politically neutral and refuse participation in armed conflict. We should follow the Bible’s advice to “respect everyone”—regardless of their religious beliefs. (1 Peter 2:17). we extend to others the same tolerance that we appreciate receiving from them. —Matthew 7:12.
Summary
Clearly, the establishment of an exclusively Jewish state in the heart of a territory already populated by Arabs, could be pursued only at the expense of and in opposition to the Arab people, and only in league with their oppressors. Indeed, from the very onset the Zionist base their hopes of success not in God but in the continued support of one or another imperialist power, offering in return a Jewish state which will serve imperialist interest in the Middle East. Zionism is a racist political conception base on the fallacy that freedom from one’s own oppression can be attain by oppressing others. It is small wonder why it attracts so much hostilities among Arabs. there is an unmistakable coincidence between the experience of Arab Palestinians at the hands of the Zionism and the experience of those black, brown and yellow people who were describe as inferior and subhuman by 19th century imperialist and in apartheid South Africa.
Christian Zionism is an apostate believe whose logical conclusion is the rejection of Yeshua Nazarene (Christ) as the fulfillment of the law and the prophet. They erroneously believe that the fulfillment of prophecy and God’s promises will come by political means when it is clearly state in 2 Corinthians 1:20 - For as many as the promises of God are, in Him (Jesus) they are yes; therefore, through Him also is our Amen to the glory of God through us.
What then does Yahweh requires from us? Micah 6 8 - Mankind, he has told each of you what is good and what it is the LORD requires of you: to act justly, to love faithfulness, and to walk humbly with your God.
