Nightmen (i) by Abosi31(m): 3:34pm On May 13 |
During the day, normal people move around… And during the night, the only ones that can move around are Nightmen. This story opens on a cold rainy night, in a simple babe’s room where two shadows biblically know each other deeply. You may ask why I’m choosing a clapping session to start this tale about gangsters, but it’s mine to tell, because I saw it all. In her bedroom, Jane is letting it all out and so is Dee, and they peak together. Dee sighs with mischievous contentment. After all these years, he has finally clapped her. After all her shakara. He sits up, she sits up too, puts a hand on his shoulder. “You’re not leaving tonight, are you?” “When should I leave?” “In the morning, obviously.” He puts on his kicks. “I’ll leave now. I’ll buzz you.” “Fine. Bye.” Dee throws an old Rangers FC cap on and waits at the door. Then he looks back at Jane. “Well? I don’t know how to open this your door.” She grumbles to her feet and undoes not one, but over seven locks. Dee smirks at her. “What are you afraid of anyway?” “This is Leftside. We don’t move around at night here.” She puts a hand on his chin, it looks picturesque with the lightening flashing in the eternal horizon. Seeing she cannot break him, she holds the door open gestures him outside. “Get out.” He smiles as he leaves the room. Some three blocks away, in Leftside, it’s quiet and all doors are locked. Footsteps approach into a street. It’s Dee. He is no wondering if he made the right decision to leave but it is too late: as he sees three jaga-jaga looking boys emerge - out of the blue “Identify!” Comes a booming voice. Dee grits his teeth. Not these damn jobless boys, yet again. He stands rooted, considering his next move. ## |
