What Sugar Did To Me When I Was Pregnant: Let Talk About Our First Pregnancy by Listen114: 9:52pm On May 13 |
"I remember when I was pregnant with my first child, I had a huge sweet tooth! I would crave ice cream, candy, and baked food all the time. At first, I thought it was no big deal, but as my cravings increased, so did my concern. I started to notice that I was feeling sluggish, tired, and experiencing mood swings. My doctor warned me about the risks of consuming too much sugar during pregnancy, including gestational diabetes and premature birth. It wasn't easy, but I made a conscious effort to cut back on added sugars and focus on whole, nutritious foods. I started reading labels, choosing natural sources of sugar, and drinking plenty of water. It took some time, but eventually, my cravings subsided, and I started feeling more energetic and balanced. Looking back, I'm so glad I made those changes. Not only did I feel better, but I also reduced the risk of potential complications for my baby. It's amazing how small changes can make a big difference in our health and well-being. Now, as a mom, I'm even more mindful of my sugar intake and encourage other pregnant women to do the same Let share our experience |
