1. The idea that the military behaves differently in the South from the North is provable nonsense.

Who were the killers of the soldiers if not the Okuama youths? And does that mean the army was right to raze down the community? Obviously not! Principles are principles regardless of North, South, East or West.

2. In this particular case, we are dealing with local communities being attacked by bandits (Fulani militias) whereas the army is there to protect these communities.

The next thing that will happen is the military going to the village and it's surroundings (where the killing of the soldiers took place) and start killing people in hundreds and raising houses and shops down. And you people will be on nairaland, Twitter and other social media platforms cheering the army for killing the innocent.

I'm not supporting it at all. I'm saying that people should not use Okuama as an example of the military being more brutal in the South than in the North.

The military is generally brutal and this is wrong every time. So many atrocities have been committed in the north.
