In a significant stride towards advancing sustainable energy solutions, the Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman, has officially inaugurated the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) Phase 1 Solar PV Mini Grid Field Laboratory. The ceremony, held in Nsukka on Saturday, was part of the activities commemorating UNN’s 52nd convocation ceremony.

The Solar PV Mini Grid Field Laboratory is poised to serve as a hub for training personnel across various sectors, including staff, students, corporate entities, and interested individuals, on both conventional and alternative energy generation, transmission, and distribution.


According to Prof. Tahir Mamman, this initiative represents a crucial step towards addressing Nigeria's energy challenges. He emphasized the importance of equipping individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to navigate diverse energy systems effectively.
