We still topped the chart with Lagos.
Lagos is a natural blessing to the SW just like oil and gas is to the Niger Delta.
Next year's gdp will have SW states taking the first five slots.

After using Niger delta money to develop the state abi

You are an ediot . How can you confuse ashawo business in Owerri with hospitality? There’s nothing like hospitality in imo state but gang of commercial sex hawkers and brotheks. How can you explain that most imo indigenes that are in SW either live in Anambra or Enugu states? How come most Igbos from other state want to live in imo state, but you claimed the state is rich? Wealthy states attract people, imo state doesn’t attract anyone. Putting imo before Delta and Anambra has discredited the list , so shut up if you have no defence

You're just a pained modafucker. Till eternity Imo will continue have a higher GDP than Anambra. If you don't like it, take Budgit or NBS to court. Nobody takes your warped opinion seriously

You are a pained ediot. Till eternity Anambra shall continue to be more developed, more wealthy, bigger economy and bigger GDP, more economically viable than your cursed backward imo state . Till eternity imo indigenes shall continue to migrate to Anambra for greener pasture. These are stark reality that you continue to face . These are realities on ground not some paper propaganda

The mistake you people are making is thinking that economy starts and ends with buying and selling. Owerri/Imo has something that Anambra does not have, and that’s packaging and creating an economy that attracts elites.

9 out of 10 educated Anambra people won’t like to stay in the state if they can help it. Aside Abuja, Lagos and to an extent P.H, no city in Nigeria attracts elites than Owerri and that’s a fact. Do you know how much those elites that are always in Owerri spend in those hotels, clubs, bars etc? Can you build luxury businesses in Anambra? No! But you can build luxury businesses in Owerri and it will thrive.

For a city to have so many big hotels, bars, restaurants and malls yet they are all thriving at the same time, what do you think it’s the reason?

Imo state has always been the largest economy in the SE even before the onset of massive gas exploitation. You’re the one deceiving yourself.

grin grin keep fooling yourself

Before throwing up this stupid list, did you even check it to see that Edo is almost double that of Anambra? You have no problem showing how Edo is far ahead of Anambra in money deposit as long as it gives you something to latch on against Imo state ?

When will you guys grow up and stop being so petty and childish?

What a shame.
Keep deceiving yourself just like Ondo GDP is bigger than Ogun and Oyo, minus oil Ondo is far from Ogun and Oyo minus oil and gas Imo, Ondo and Akwa-Ibom will not make top ten on the list this is fact you are free to continue deceiving yourself, only otondo will be comparing Anambra with Imo in economic activities, go and check unemployment rate.

Nna this doesn't hold water,in British debate we call it,becoming a house onto oneself.
The crux remains that this stat predates the take off of gas ecosystem in IMO, therefore ondo according to your standpoint produces more oil output than IMO, how come IMO is above her in the GDP ranking. It is glaring and obvious some other factors must have spurred her figures, which points to other indicators like service (hospitality) and other sectors.

You are being economical with truth, do you know the business activities in Onitsha metropolis alone which is the largest city in Southeast, majority of business men in Imo buy their goods from Onitsha and Nnewi, Onitsha and Nnewi markets feed many markets across Nigeria, there are more business opportunities in Anambra state when compare to any state in Southeast, Anambra have three vibrant cities, two cities Onitsha metro and Nnewi for industries and commerce, hotels Awka is second to Owerri in Southeast, almost all the towns in Anambra have hotel, oil production Imo is by far when compare to Anambra. It's only oil economy that gave Akwa-Ibom and Imo edge over Anambra state you should know better

My friend mechie onu hi there. When Rochas was growing Imo you all were all over social media calling him Okorohausa, Land grabber, Iddiot, Free education is nonsense, all the roads are China , Imo is pristitute and all sort of names but Imo became the fastest growing and urbanizing economy in Nigeria overtaking Rivers, Abuja and Lagos in real estate development. Right now Imo is the 2nd most urbanized State in Nigeria after Lagos as it has overtaken Anambra and has now moved up to 4th largest economy in Nigeria driven by services, real estate, tourism and hospitality not factories. I remember when qe argued all these things and I was telling you that factories are not job creators. Under Okorocha Imo became the 2nd highest job creating State after Lagos while poverty reduced astronomically because of free education which you also condemned. Reality today is that Imo is doing well amidst the insecurity and lack of continuity slowed down the astronomic growth witnessed earlier under Okorocha. Imagine if the Industrial park and Perishable cargo Airport was functional how big the economy would have been.

Anuofia just mechie that your dirty smelly mouth dwarf like you.
Which imo economy are you referring to ? Does imo state have economy? Most imo indigenes live in Anambra as economic migrants. What economy are you referring to biko? If you claim that imo has a big economy can you point to those economies let’s see? The only thing imo state has is brothel and booming commercial se.x hawking, aside that there’s nothing else happening in imo state, Owerri is a typical backward town with just ashawos, yahoo boys, etc running around, there’s no real investment in Owerri that create employment but you had the guts to talk about economy.
As for airport, imo state is yet to have one, what is in imo state is more or less a motorpark. Stop deceiving yourself.
In urbanization, when you remove small Owerri that’s not even half the size of Awka(check aerial map) where else do you have in imo state that can stand Onitsha in urbanization? But you hastily believed a paper than facing reality.
When you finished believing the paper you shall face reality that Anambra is by far more developed and advanced than your backward imo state. These are facts and realities
