The exam body's handling of recent events has been utterly incompetent. They seized thousands of results, citing an investigation without providing a timeline or updates, leaving candidates in limbo. When a letter circulated online claiming a cyber security breach, they hastily denied it without addressing the underlying concerns. Meanwhile, their official handle, meant to address candidates' queries, has ignored countless requests from millions of students, with no response in sight.

To make matters worse, they deactivated the online result viewing portal, forcing candidates to rely on a cumbersome USSD method, which charges 50 naira per prompt. Many students who registered but don't have access to their SIM cards are unable to check their results. Others face network issues with their service providers, while some have even paid for original results online, only to have their money disappear without explanation or results.

It's time for a change in leadership at JAMB. The inconsistencies and incompetence are becoming unbearable, and it's unfair to the youth who have sacrificed time and effort to get into tertiary institutions.
