Justice Yetunde Idowu of the Ikeja High Court, Thursday, has asked the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, to pay Nigerian comedy actor, Babatunde Omidina, commonly called Baba Suwe, N25 million as compensation for unlawful detention and breach of right.

Baba Suwe who was granted bail November 4, had gone to court to seek redress over an alleged suspicion of ingesting substances believed to be hard drug and detention in the custody of NDLEA for 24 days.

Justice Yetunde Idowu also asked the NDLEA publicly apologies through two national dailies within 21 days for unlawful detention and breach of right of the comedian, Baba Suwe.

N25 Million for what ? or is it for carrying drugs. I am surprised at some of your comments on this issue. In the first place, it was proven that Baba Suwe actually had some rapped drugs inside his intestine as shown by various scan machines but unable excrete it. To me he deserves nothing but jail. because he is lucky today but may not be lucky 2moro and that his high level juju may not help him. NDLEA should appeal that judgment immediately. Moladun kenkelewu ghost will continue to hunt Baba Suwe IJN. Amen.
