My father was just a mere civil servant who served Nigerian ministry diligently and with every atom of integrity and even resisted temptations to loot government funds which was why he didn't become as rich and notorious as your drug kingpin master.


As for Prof Wole Soyinka, he is a great achiever, of course he achieved greater things than my civil servant father and I celebrate Soyinka for that but when it comes to his recent meddling in Nigerian politics, Prof Wole Soyinka messed himself up and destroyed decades of the respect he gained and enjoyed within and outside Nigeria.

dis made me cry. I remember my dad too, when civil service was civil service. U can hold up ur head high knowing u did ur very best for humanity. Unfortunately, Nigeria only celebrates criminals n corrupt officials. God bless ur dad from d button of my heart, God will continue to bless all those who withstood falsehood n corruption. Even though I don't necessarily understand what Prof Wole Soyinka has to do with the obidient movement, I understand Prof Wole's sentiment about the handlers of the obidient movement.

They are a group of people who can't handle criticism, even when the main activity of the group is centered around criticizing others.

They will insult everyone criticizing them rather than see it as an opportunity to convince the person.

Imagine the governorship candidate of Labor party saying he doesn't think in Yoruba and calling the Oro festival a barbaric act.

Please don't compare plays that can be read in one afternoon to books that take at least 3 days to finish.

Just because you can finish reading a piece of literature in a day does not mean it is easy to write.




A 1 hour movie can take a year to write and produce.





That it is 1 hour does not mean it was easier to write than a 3-hour movie.





You think all those 4-minute musical video you watch are easy to make than those 1 hour Nollywood movie.
