Rivers Hoopers of Nigeria today defeated AS Monastir of Tunisia to qualify for the Basketball African League Semi Final.

The score ended 92-88 in favor of Rivers Hoopers. The port Harcourt based side says ago lost to AS Douanes of Senegal in a seeding game but didn't allow it to deter them as they started strongly and maintain their lead throughout the game.

With this win, they've set a new record as the first Nigerian team to reach this stage.
