..... I don't think he is actually better than our current options except for Mustafi. He has ball playing skills but should we sign him, Emery has to drum it into his skull that he has to be disciplined and remain as a center back and not another midfielder.

... We have a leader already in Sokratis so I don't think we are getting him for that. Koscienly is gone so someone must replace him for this season.

.... Upamecano's release clause is around 90m and will decrease by 10m next summer. His club is a very difficult one to negotiate with so I personally don't see this signing happening except we if we cough out the cash.

... I am not excited for Luiz but him and Tierney won't be a bad ending to the window.
No one, I repeat no one would trigger the release clause of a player in his last year especially if he isn't showing signs of signing a new deal...(especially one with a 90m release clause)

Leipzig are only trying not to be bullied.. I could even see them looking for buyers in January...

Look at the Zaha situation... After this summer, if anybody buy Zaha for anything higher than 50m, let me know...

Unless he goes on to have a monster season...

..... Leipzig is one stubborn club and won't bulge.... very silly set of people. At the end of the day, The guy will sign for Bayern for free. If we get Luiz, I don't see us going for the lad in January.

.... Crystal palace gave us a fvck off price, they were not just willing to sell. I blame Zaha though, you want to leave a club and you are signing more years to your contract, leaving the situation entirely in the hands of your club. It was a dumb decision and one he might rue for the rest of his life.

Luiz floors Chambers and Mustafi...

We don't know how Holding will return, whether in a good way or bad way...

Sokratis is too rash for my liking and hardly a ball player...

Luiz is a better fit for him and a much preferred option than Rugani who juve want us to loan with obligation to buy...

He has cut down on his mistakes too...

.,... Well, we shall see.

Damn people don't like iwobi a bit mehn
They are all blaming AFC for rejecting the 30m
Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: Finally Reborn! The Red & White Army: FA CUP Champions 2020 by Jodera: 6:57pm On Aug 07, 2019
Actually, I feel we shouldn't sell iwobi. If only he can be played back in his no 10 role, it'll be nice.
40m is still small for arsenal to sell him off if they want to. But personality, I feel we shouldn't.

We may as well play without 2 CBs if that happens

I don't believe loyalty is the first and foremost. Wonder why wilshere wasn't a legend but henry is? Henry practically asked for a way out from arsenal yet he's still revered and appreciated (plus statue sef) wilshere carry arsenal for mind , soul and body, but he fell short of most of those criteria I listed. Will you call wilshere a legend, was he celebrated when he left?
Loyalty here is showing total commitments despite leaving for any reason.

Wilshire was loyal but he couldn't stay on his feet. Bet me, any day he becomes fit and wants to return, fans will gladly have him.

Loyalty first but not only. He has to give us memories too. And that's exactly what Ramsey gave. His goal Vs Spurs still gives me goosebumps bumps.

We need a CB but not the Luis type. We need someone who can stand firm, not a marauding porcupine. Chai! Those days of Sol Campbell.

I don't trust Chelsea players coming to Emirate, just imagine two old defenders Sokarits and Luiz although I kind of agree buying an older person or loan rather than outright purchase atleast we can anticipate a holding - saliba next season

Alright. I understand you now.
I guess the goal Ramsey scored so 'sweet' you that you've to type the bumps twice grin grin

I thought we're all happy about the links of David Luiz ystdy. Why the sudden change of mind? Tho, me I'm happy about the news. I feel he's cut down on his erratic behavior unlike previous years. And he's a leader and winner. Something we lack right now in our defence unit.
Also, 8m isn't bad for a 2 year "loan ". By then holding and saliba will be ready to man our defence for the foreseeable future

It isn't a loan...

We might even shift him next year to china...

His agent and Edu are close, and his agent got a lot of contacts in China...

A la Ramires and Oscar...

Lol, I know it isn't a loan, that's why I quoted the loan. I believe arsenal see him as a stop gap short project to make way for saliba and holding hopefully the coming year cos I know he won't be here for long. 8m in this present mkt from one of our rivals for him isn't a bad investment I must say. Coupled that he's a winner and have leadership and a winning spirit in him. I feel the deal isn't a bad one for us tho

Plus we gave them a finished Giroud for 18m...

How did we pull that off??
