My hypothesis is that Arteta needs midfielders with some level of creativity in them, even if they have to sit in front of the defense. Torriera lacks that compared to the other midfielders we have. That's the only logic I can deduced on why Arteta refused to use him. Else I can't see any reason.

That his goal against Spurs is one of the best feelings I have watching Arsenal.

Lol, I didn't feel we weren't cool before. I've always insisted on xhaka been a sub player esp if a good DM comes. I admitted he's improved but he's still a squad player at best.

And in terms of sideway passes, elneny trump xhaka and not otherwise. In fact, I never liked elneny b4 cos of his sideways passes
