Lollolzzz !!! How else can I say it ? I don't write hirongo. grin grin

. . . . and what about the tables ? That they had almost the same teams present in the inaugural year doesn't change the fact that they are different.

Those teams together with the new entrants (Ipswich, Middlesbrough and Blackburn), resigned and broke away from the old league (Football League) forming/creating/giving birth to a new league (PL).

Both tables still exist today and belong to different leagues;

Here is proof that the old table still exists (1888-date) : http://www.fl125.co.uk/records/past-winners

Loserpool (champions 89/90) can be found under the same column as current champions, Cardiff (12/13). - same table showing the power of continuity.

. . . . and focus on the use of the word created vs changed. You cannot "create" something new and say it is the same as the old. (again, it is not just about a name change)

The premier league was created in '92 and is 21 seasons old. Liverpool has never ended the season at the summit of the EPL table (Okiki's point) - fact. grin grin

On the list of past EPL winners, the name LIVERPOOL does not feature and you guys have never been crowned EPL champions. grin grin

keywords : create, form.

What makes the EPL greater than the championship (Div. 1) ? If it wasn't obvious then in '92, I'm sure it's as clear as 7up now. If you still don't see the difference, Loserpool can consider suicide relegation to get a taste of it. grin grin

English Language comprehension is a major problem here. There is not much I can do to help your stupidity.

When the Premiership was 'created', maybe the teams were populated with top teams from the continent and not the usual teams such as Man utd, ASSnal, Everton, Nottingham Forest, etc.

The old table exists because the Division one name was given to the old Division two.

All these dribbling just to make an asinine point. grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

Daz all

Maybe folks that have Obafemi Awolowo University degrees will be insulting those that have University of Ife degrees

As much as I dont want to get involved in this trivial matter, you know that example is faulty and doesn't in anyway represent the transformation of Division 1 to premiership.

The better way to put it is Yaba Coll of Education decision to have a Degree awarding program and letting those best students currently undergoing Diploma programs enroll into the degree program.

Are we now going to say those who graduated from the institution while it was offering Diploma programs have the same certificate as those who graduated while it is now offering degree program simply because the then diploma students were allowed to enroll into the degree program?

Anyways if you want us to accept that Loserpool has won Premiership many times, I will say we have heard you.

Nottingham Forrest won the European Cup twice. Can someone please tell me what league that club is playing in?

In 57 years, ASSnal can only boast of one appearance in the Champions League finals. Liverpool has even had more losing appearances than ASSnal in the finals. shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

Be blowing grammar there so gbo?

As for the comparison to Jules Rimet cup and UCL/European Cup - in which of those competitions does a previous trophy and and a new version of the trophy get competed for in a single season?

Liverpool has only won the first division trophy - they have not won the EPL trophy.

Keep arguing about that till we get to Anfield and knack you akpako again. tongue

See more rubbish reasoning from ASSnal fans. Did the prize change whether you won the First Division Title or the Premiership title? Degree or Diploma doesn't come into play.

It was the same teams that competed; the same top teams. grin grin grin grin grin grin

Please tell us the names of the teams that competed in the first division in 1992 and those that competed in the premiership in 1993.

Oh so, its because the marketing people brought a new trophy, the competition became different and more superior to the previous trophy? I would have thought that your argument would be that new and better teams competed for the premiership than those who competed in the old First Division. grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

Leeds united the Title winners in 1992, please tell us what title they were competing in 1993. Similarly, Manutd the winners in 1992, what competition were they competing in 1992? When you can answer that honestly, then you will realise how funny your argument is.

Even if you are to beat Liverpool at Anfield, there is no guarantee you will win a trophy this season.

Now you agree that you guys have never won the Premiership, what you won was the old league . . . whatever it's called.

Okiks even gave you expo, emphasizing on "EPL" with date of formation but you were inspired by DK and the other nàked supporter to run down a rabbit hole with your argument.

The table clearly states what was created and what was changed.

EPL was created in 92/93 (not about a name change)
Divisions 1, 2 & 3 changed to The Championship, League 1 and League 2 in 03/04

Trivial issue but no come dey show popeye muscle for here anyhow.

1992, First Division became Premiership, Second Division became first division. In 2004, First Division became The Championship.

The dude is suffering from dyslexia. Liverpool has not won the EPL - The EPL is NOT part of the football league as the previous division one ( now championship) was.

First Division NEVER became the premiership. The teams who formed the EPL left the first division - they left it behind along with its trophy. The first division only became the championship.

You wish FA records agrees with your argument abi? Well check with FA, Loserpool only won League 1 which is now Championship grin

You wish it was called rebranding with FA claiming a new league was created in the lower division while the top leagues were renamed/rebranded, but the fact on the records of FA is that an higher not a lower league was created and winners of the old league 1 were allowed to graduate into it while the lower teams from lower divisions were allowed to continue chasing the records of Loserpool in League1/Now Championship - FACT! In fact Loserpool can increase its Championship Winning tally if it drops from premiership and wins championship again grin grin

For emphasis, Loserpool has NEVER won Premiership but yes it has won League1/Championship so many times - FACT grin grin

How did they leave the old trophy behind? Its a simple question?

Did they change stadiums? Did they invite superior teams? Did they start playing in a different country?

Olodo, the only rebranding that took place was League 1 becoming Championship League. Am sure if Loserpool gets relegated, it can win Championship league again even without Suarez grin grin grin

Am sure even Cardiff doesn't wanna remember how many times it won that trophy when there is EPL trophy to win. Kats should go and discuss it with Reading, QPR, Millwall, Barnsley, Blackpoool, Middlesbrough, Nottingham Forest, Leeds United etc. They are the ones currently chasing the trophy Loserpool used to win grin grin grin

Hahahahahahaha

2007/08
Premiership is dropped from the competition title and the Barclays Premier League is the new name for the English top-flight
. The first all-English UEFA Champions League final takes place as Manchester United defeat Chelsea and the Premier League tops the UEFA Club Co-efficient for the first time. Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo is top scorer with 31 goals - in just 31 Premier League starts – tying Alan Shearer’s record for a 38-match season.

http://www.premierleague.com/content/premierleague/en-gb/about/history.html

So Arsenal has not won the Premier League. It won the old FA Premiership. grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin After all the noise, so ASSnal has not even won it.

Only Man utd, Chelsea, and City have won the Premier League.

Good advice, they have to go down to extend and protect that record. Self relegation is recommended. Skretel and G. Johnson to start scoring own goals.
