ACMF Celebrates Children's Day With Free Educational Tour With Ogun Students by mrpossiboo(m): 9:20pm On May 27
In commemoration of this year's Children's Day celebration, Accurate Creative Minds Foundation (ACMF) on Monday organized a free educational tour for over 60 students in Ogun State.


The event, which took place at Apex Paint in Abeokuta, aimed to broaden students' knowledge beyond what they learn in school and provide hands-on experience in various industries.

Participating schools included St John's Anglican High School, St Peter's College, Premier Grammar School, Rev Kuti Memorial High School, Vivanis College, Al-faruq Academy, Macjob Grammar School, and Afro Private School.

While addressing journalists, ACMF's Deputy Director, Benedicta Aluko said the purpose of the educational tour was to enlighten students on the need to learn more than what they are taught in school.

According to her "We want to inspire students to explore and see how things are done in various industries,"

She said. "This tour is one of our many initiatives to empower students and provide them with hands-on experience."

Aluko emphasized the importance of retaining the knowledge gained during the tour, as it may benefit students in their future careers or related fields.

She appealed to the students to ensure they go home with the information and make use of the knowledge gained.

Also speaking, the Head of Research and Development at Apex Paint, Mrs Adejumobi Esther appreciated ACMF's effort in organizing the event.

Mrs Adejumobi who equally led the students through the industrial process of paint production, explaining each step in a clear and relatable manner.

Her words "This tour will no doubt boost the students' morale in the industrial process, how paint is produced, and the importance of it."

Our correspondent Ademola Oyinkansola reports that during the tour, students visited laboratories and received insightful information about paint production from researchers.

Some of the students who participated in the tour shared their experiences and expressed their enthusiasm and appreciation for the opportunity to learn about paint production.

A student from Vivanis College, Shodunke Faridat expressed her gratitude to the organiser saying that she has been able to learn the equipment and the chemical use for paint and procedures use for paint.

According to Olaleye Gabriel, a student of Premier Grammar School said "It is very educative,I really enjoyed the tour we were shown different machine use in the process of making paint."

"I never knew paint production was so complex, I learned a lot today, and I'm grateful for the opportunity.", Gabriel concluded.
