Monaco is located in Western Europe on the Mediterranean coast, near the French-Italian border and shares a total of 6 kilometers of borders with France. Monaco is the second smallest country in the world, with a total area of 2.1 square kilometers. The country is divided into four quarters: Monaco-Ville, La Condamine, Monte Carlo and Fontvieille.
Monaco is a very hilly, rugged and rocky country, with the entire population living on 2 square kilometers of land, making it the second most densely populated country in the world. The country’s terrain is predominantly hilly and rocky, with a rugged coastline of 4.1 kilometers. The highest point in Monaco is Chemin des Revoires on Mont Agel at 162 meters, while the lowest point is the Mediterranean Sea at 0 meters. Monaco has a Mediterranean climate with mild, wet winters and hot, dry summers. As of 2024, Monaco’s population is around 39,600.

The people of Monaco are known as Monégasque ( citizens of Monaco). There are other nationalities like French, Italian, and others. Official language is French, but Monégasque, Italian, and English are also widely spoke. Roman Catholicism is the official religion, but freedom of religion is guaranteed. Monégasque culture is heavily influenced by French and Italian cultures, with a strong emphasis on tradition, family, and community. Monaco is known for its luxurious and high-end lifestyle, with a high standard of living and a strong focus on tourism, finance, and commerce. Ethnicities include Monégasque (native to Monaco), French, Italian, British, and other ethnic groups.

Monégasque cuisine is a delicious blend of French, Italian, and Mediterranean flavors, with a focus on fresh seafood, locally grown produce, and traditional ingredients. Visa requirements for Monaco

Monaco does not have its own visa system, so you will need to apply for a French visa, if you have a French visa you can enter Monaco, if you don’t need a visa to enter the Schengen Member states, you don’t need a visa to visit Monaco. Type C or short-term visa for stays up to 90 days, type D or long-term visa for stays over 90 days. Visa fees: Adults- €80, Children aged 6-12-€40, Children under 6 is free. You must submit your visa application to the French consulate or embassy in the country where you legally reside. For a Schengen visa to Monaco, additional documents like proof of sufficient funds to cover your stay, travel itinerary, including round-trip flight ticket reservations, travel insurance policy with a minimum coverage of €30,000, hotel booking or other proof of accommodation, fee payment receipt, cover letter explaining why you wish to visit Monaco. one of the most expensive place (and also smallest country) to visit in Europe... here below is how i feel about Monaco:

The mere fact that a baguette cost almost twice as much in Monaco had me dislike that place.... dont get me wrong, its a nice place for a day trip but you best come with a picnic bag filled with food (bought in France), and just sit in some park and have your food quietly. If you dare enter some of the local restaurants, you will sit down and when they bring the menu, you will look at the prices and tears will start pouring down for no damn reasons lol..... and if you are not satisfied that this place is insane, wait for nightfall, thats when you will notice proper insane prices in local club/bars that will have you run from that area. Everything in Monaco is MONEY MONEY MONEY
