Is the 5G router worth it? Someone wants to sell his used 5G router to me with the simcard and power bank for 23k. What do you guys think? Is this a worthy buy? Note that he has used the 1 month unlimited subscription that comes with the 5G router.

Why will someone want to buy a simcard at 20k. I would rather opt to get the 4G router or even the smart box that comes with the unlimited sim.

You're paying for the unlimited 20mbps data plan not the sim

It is, no mind those customer care guys. Lastly most recently Sims being sold by MTN and Airtel are 5G compatible.

Firstly, most of the Customer service personnels have no freaking idea on how to solve most issues, I keep wondering the criteria used in employing them but at the end of the day, na Naija we dey.

A friend has a 4G router and swapped with my 5G router and SIM works flawlessly, just as you can use the Sims in routers, mifis as well as phones and it works just fine.

However, the fact that they don't sell Data SIM alone is very true for all GSM networks, swift, smile and spectranet networks however sell just the SIM for interested parties.

Airtel Unlimited 30 with 30Mbps @ 40k
Airtel Unlimited 40 with 40Mbps @ 60k

Those three are the truly unlimited ones

I'm not too sure if the price of the 2nd and 3rd plans. But they are truly unlimited plans. Na you go tire because I don't know what to download anymore 😭😂

You're right. Is just the downtime that is annoying sometimes..

With my power bank and 12v USB converter am good to go.

Tried swapping before but didn't work. Wud try again when home and revert

True, Recently, I've had some connectivity issues after the last rainfall, needing to restart my router often and even contacting customer care. But overall, the service is good.
