The standard, even in harsh driving conditions like we have in Nigeria, is to replace ever 5000km-7,500 km or 6 months - whichever comes first. If you are a transporter, then you will arrive at the km faster.

As per your post, one of the two things below is the cause of your car consuming engine oil:

1. Your car is a jallopy than should be in a junk yard,

2. You have an engine that has gone bad due to you patronising all those fake oil being sold by Igbo traders as you have mentioned in your post.
