I purchased Certain amount of fuel into my car yesterday at NNPC Shomolu Lagos State. Before my purchase it was 1bar but after purchase i got 4bars.

Went on a trip of 70km to and from and still got same 4bars, no single deduction. I noticed everytime i purchase at other filling stations most especially at AP Onipaanu and Mobil Anthony. After 30km 1bar is gone already. The fuel combustion rate is always higher.
But yesterday purchase at NNPC shomolu really got me wondering what could have happened.

Does that mean other station where I recently purchased are selling aldutered petrol or why the quick combustion of their petrol.

Meanwhile I noticed the one I bought from NNPC has a very thick yellowish color while that of AP is always light yellowish.

the fuel you bought from the NNPC station appears to be higher octane rating fuel as against the one sold by other stations you purchased from.

There are two things involved.

Your gauge might be having issues or sometimes it happens like that and it will go down suddenly if you do few km and you will begin to wonder why.

2. Might just be the original fuel.

I don't think the quality is the problem, rather, the quantity.

Other filling stations have been cheating you.

Likely over dispensing pumps tongue

My guy have giving customer over 10,000 litres over 5days. A faulty valve in the pumping unit was the culprit. Over 3M follow water that year

The day I discovered this, I’d rather not drive or buy fuel at any other fuel station aside NNPC stations

All gasolines have grades.

Not necessarily adulterated just based on their octane rating and contained catalysts.

On the other hand, colours are distinct for distinct refineries and have no true correlation with quality to the general public.

Many people always prefer buying from NNpC or MRS filling stations because of price and fuel quality

Have you been buying fuel in other stations to that same level in your tank?

Also you must understand that most cars fuel tank construction are not linearly gauged.

Unless you are comparing the consumption from the same level, it may be erroneous to judge from your part.

Na man do Man.

I advice that each have specific Filling stations we buy from so that we can compare and evaluate our consumption and check if there is any manipulation.
