Carrier oils including coconut oil and jojoba oil are used to dilute essential oils so you can use them safely, they can also moisturize your skin.

WHAT ARE CARRIER OILS?

Carrier oils and essential oils are made from plants. Carrier oils are used to dilute essential oil and carry them to your skin. That's because essential oil are potent and can cause irritation when applied directly to your skin. Most carrier oils are unscented or lightly scented and don't interfere with an essential oils therapeutic properties. They may be used alone or with other oil to nourish your skin.

HOW TO SELECT THE CARRIER OILS YOU NEED.

There are many carrier oils available most are suitable to use with any essential oil, but you should consider a few things before choosing one:
1. Think About Odor: A few carrier oils have distinct odor when added to an essential oil, it may alter the aroma.
2. Absorption: Your skin can absorb some carrier oils better than others.
3. Skin Type: Depending on your skin type, some oils may irritate skin or worsen a skin condition such as acne.
4. Shelf life: Some carrier oils can be stored for longer periods than others without going bad.
