Edo 2024: APC Has Already Conceded Defeat – Felix Alari by Bobloco: 3:20pm On May 30 |
A former Federal Commissioner of Public Complaint Commission, PCC, who dumped the All Progressives Congress, APC, last week, Barrister Felix Alari, has said that the September 21 governorship election will serve as a referendum for the Edo people to decide whether or not to continue with the present hardship suffered by Nigerians. Alari said it was impossible for Edo people to cast their votes a party that has allegedly “pauparised Nigerians and turned many to scavengers in the manner APC had done in the past one decade.” In a statement on Wednesday, the ex-PCC boss stated that Edo 2024 was an opportunity to tell APC that Nigerians were hungry and tired. He claimed that a vote for APC would be a vote for the continuation of the present hardship in the land, adding that any vote for the party was an endorsement and approval of more hardship in the state. According to him, “To me Edo 2024 election is a referendum of a sort to decide in a small scale whether the people are satisfied with present APC government viz a viz the hardship and pains they have brought to the majority Nigerians. “And I can tell you that Edo people are not in doubt on the choice they have to make in this election. APC certainly is absent from the table. “And if you must know, a tour through the cities towns and villages of Edo state, will clearly show the mindset of Edo people regarding the upcoming governorship election. “It is clear to Edo people that APC has nothing to offer and nothing to campaign with in the coming elections except hunger and hardship. “Go to our streets and villages you hear the people loud and clear saying that this hunger must not be allowed to continue. “And I must say here that even the APC members knows that they have lost this election. They already have conceded this as a fact,They know that the people will not vote for them because they have nothing to offer and campaign with. “The only thing you hear them say is that they have the federal might under president Tinubu to manipulate the outcome of the election and truncate the will of Edo people. “A party that have pauparised Nigerians and turned many to scavengers in the manner APC has done in the almost one decade of their rule cannot be rewarded or patronize with votes by Edo people. Edo 2024 is one valuable opportunity to tell APC that Nigerians are hungry and tired of their misrule” https://www.vanguardngr.com/2024/05/edo-2024-apc-has-already-conceded-defeat-felix-alari/amp/ |

senatordave1: Ok, I am asking you: What will the APC and Okpebholo use to campaign to convince the people of Edo State why they must vote for them, putting into consideration what the APC and Tinubu-led administration have done? |

Apart from the humongous problems APC as a party has created across the length and breath of Nigeria, their choice of candidate for Edo state gubernatorial election Monday Opkebholo is a hard sell compared to PDP AI. With #70,000 minimum wage that just came on stream this month by the Governor, Godwin Obaseki, I don't know how they hope to unseat PDP. 2 Likes |

It is very difficult to market a bad product (Monday Okpebholo) in a bad container (APC). Campaign has since commenced but APC have not had any campaign. Asue Ighodalo have covered the length and breath of the state explaining his agenda for the state to electorates but Monday Okpebholo is only seen at night visiting party leaders houses or swimming in erosions making skits. All APC does is to be insulting Obaseki and Asue Ighodalo everyday and trying to use the palace to incite the people. Tell the people what you want to do if voted in as Governor for where. Monday Okpebholo has refused to engage with Edo electorates. He has been avoiding interviews on Channels, Arise, AIT, TVC and has also been hiding from the two indegenous stations in Benin ITV and EBS. Idahosa University invited him but he refused to go. Arise have sent him an open invitation but he is yet to honour it. How can a man desirous of governing a sophisticated state like Edo be running away from interviews? They are trying to package him same way APC backaged Buhari and Tinubu that destroyed Nigeria but it will not work. Edo people will reject them and their incompetent candidate. They will vote massively for Asue Ighodalo because is more competent and qualified for the job. 1 Like |

senatordave1: The local government chairman Kelly Inedegbor has constructed more roads than Monday Okpebholo. Meanwhile, let Monday Okpebholo account for all the money he has been collecting for constituency projects. 1 Like |

Chinjo2: Let obaseki that stayed 8 years account for it first before akpakomiza that's there less than a year.besides,he is representing 5 lgas not one like the chair.the chairman is not contesting elections but asue vs okpebholo. Anyway, you have indirectly conceded that asue is a failure |
