Didn't South West governors declare June 12 public holiday for years before it was adopted by the federal government?

States has power to declare state holidays
Abiola was AD which later transformed by APC. He won Election but didn't rule, hence the holiday. Back then, only APC states even in the SW observe the holiday, June 12 was NEVER a public holiday to anyone until APC came to rule.
NECO falls on June 12 and students go for their Exams, what is this one? Have you ever heard anyone beaten or harassed on June 12?

June 12 was a public holiday for someone in another country or Nigeria?
A President Elected! Only APC states even in the SW observed it before APC became President. There's no history of anyone being harassed due to moving on June 12. They write NECO every June 12.

It's unfortunate you say? This Governors are the problem the Easterners are facing.

I sincerely condemn the killing, and also sympathise with the families and NA.

This would have been averted if the Governors has come out to announce a public holiday in honour of the Biafran souls that was killed during the civil war. No they won't, because of their selfish gain.

To tell you that they know the people that are doing it, infact it is a collective act, they have chosen to be a recalcitrant tribe let them go ahead

gidgiddy:
Hmmm

The funny thing about it all was that there are videos showing residents of Aba were walking past the gunmen, even hailing them

But no Aba resident will ever walk past the Nigerian Army, nor hail them

Aba people were more scared of the Nigerian Army than they were of the gunmen

An intelligent person would ask why, but many Nigerians are not that intelligent

Must they killed security operatives to celebrate the day, from the news they were not even provoke

mrvitalis:
South East governors caused this killing

If they had simply declared may 30th Biafra remembrance Day and made it a public holiday weekend wont be here

When Fulanis ravaged South East they were begged to form a security outfit they refused
Till Esn was formed

Igbos would never forget the name Biafra

Igbos would never forget the Biafra war

Igbos would never stop using the Biafran flag

Igbos would never forget may 30th

It would never happen

The best things for this governors is to adopt this things and formalized them ... Simple to save lifes

Theres no point posting nigerian soldiers to biafraland. Henceforth, FG will be posting biafrans to biafraland. Do to them as u please.

If u are a soldier or policeman and u were posted to east please resign unless u want to be used to appease the gods of igboland , sincerely speaking no single igbo man both dead or alive will choose one Nigeria over Biafra Republic thats why the fg refused to conduct a referendum for easterners to decide thier fate

You are a fool for making such comment.
The people of Palestine walk past and hail the Hamas terrorist and are scared of the IDF not because the terrorist are more human than the IDF, Infact, the Hamas terrorist will gladly shoot and kill palestinians just for the propaganda camera. But their support is because of the agreement of the palestinians with the religious terror of the Hamas

Igbos supports the terror of IPOB too that is why they easily cheer the gunmen while being afraid of the military

Because the army too are scared of the unknown gunmen and they regards everyone coming nearer to them as unknown gun man.
It's very simple!
Army will treat everyone as a suspect. Abi unknown gunmen have uniform ?
