1. The OT was written in Hebrew (and Aramaic). The Hebrew word 'ebed' means slave, servant, bondsman etc.

2. That's patently false... Some western countries like France have been making moves to ban slavery in the 14th century - long before the industrial revolution. Long before industrial revolution, there are have been Christian movements campaigning for the end of slavery. Abolitionists made it loud and clear that the reason why they opposed slavery was due to their religious beliefs - unless perhaps you know better than them. Even with industrial revolution, if the Westerners do not have the conscience to end slavery, they could have found other menial jobs for slaves to do.

Paul said:

Were you a slave when you were called? Don’t let it trouble you—although if you can gain your freedom, do so. (1 Cor. 7:21)

Even though he doesn't have the political power to ban slavery in the modern world, Paul encourages those who can regain their freedom to always do so. Does this look like someone who will encourage slavery? Or look at Jesus Himself. Is His character consistent with someone who will own slaves? See how He treated His disciples, see how He dealt with the Jewish elites (Pharisees, Sadducees etc.) who owned, see how He identify with lowliest of lowlies in the society. Or which of Jesus' apostles owned slaves? Or you think some of them are not rich enough to buy slaves?

It all boils down to this:

There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. (Gal. 3:28)

Jesus' golden rule:

'In everything, do to others what you would have them do to you.' Matt. 7:21

This rule, when followed, effectively outlaws slavery and other societal evils

Theres nothing like industrial revolution. Mali had been mining gold and minerals and there were gold works long before the europeans knew anything about industry.

I wish I can send a voice note, maybe it would be easier for you then.

You are the very embodiment of all the things you accused me of.
If you read to understand, you would have known I was not addressing what the government did with my comment.

You responded to the other poster for declaring southern states as Christian states. In your submission you unfortunately said "the poster should be okay too when they rename indigenous villages of other people in the north to Islamic/fulani ones.
That is you creating a symmetry between someone declaring Cross River a Christian state as a result of the government there replacing a traditional "STATUE" with that of Jesus in a roundabout, and a bunch of terrorists killing, burning, raping and renaming villages of other people in the North.
You see that you're the problem?

I'm afraid you'll still not be patient enough to read and understand the callous, unfortunate symmetry you created.

There are 12 states in the north that practice sharia for over 20 years as official state policy. What does it mean to you?
Why do you suddenly bring up the activities of terrorists renaming villages after killing the people because someone declared Cross River a Christian state, when there are 12 states practicing sharia as official state policy in the North?

There is no symmetry and there will never be a symmetry between someone declaring a state as a Christian state cause of a religious statue and terrorists killing, burning and renaming villages that you brought up in defense.
If you think there is a parallel, then you are a problem to civilization like I said earlier.

Good morning

If you can't convey your point(s) in written english but crave for a voice note feature in NL, then it is really bad in your camp. The initial problem of not understanding is more complicated if you do not communicate effectively with few words.

There is no Christian State or Muslim State anywhere in Nigeria. You are part of the problem in our society. Practicing Sharia Law doesn't make it a Muslim State. Erecting a statue of Jesus doesn't make it a Christian State. People, culture and society comes before religion.

I'm done with exchanging comments with you.

Christianity and Islam are different sides of the same coin. The only difference is that Islam is 600 years behind Christianity. All the violence and intolerance exhibited by Islam today are the same violence and intolerance exhibited by Christianity in the 1300 to 1800s

Really? Many of your fellow wokes in the western world (especially in Europe) also labor under the illusion that Christianity and Islam are similar (and that Islam is just at the violent stage) and now most of them are regretting their lazy comparison.
Right from the onset of Islam, it has always been violent. Even right after the death of their founder (who was also a violent man), his followers begin to kill each other, fighting for power - even the founder's family wasn't spared. Now, is there a counterpart for this in Christendom? Of course not - this is the reason why you have to flash forward over a thousand years in a particular part of Europe to find your example (ignoring the fact that Christianity has it's history in the other continents too)
And for the violence you're pointing to (which I'm sure your fellow wokes always try to exaggerated), was it not Christians who laid down their lives to oppose those who baatardize the name of Christ? Can you compare that to the silence and non-challant attitude of the 'moderate muslims' to the atrocities committed by their radical brothers - these very same 'moderate' Muslims who will find their voice if someone burns their religious book or speak unworthy of their prophet.

As someone who is well-versed in both Christianity and Islam, I can assure you that it is the mentally lazy people who just lampoon Christianity and Islam as similar when they are worlds apart. Islam is a political religion - it's mission is to dominate the world. That's the reason why it came with it's own set of political laws. Christianity doesn't have such - and every attempts to make merge the Church and the State are always disastrous (reason why the earliest church fathers kicked against the merging of the State and the Church). Christianity, as a religion, fosters secular states.

Yes, bash Christianity all you want but I do have a low view of those who think that Christianity and Islam are similar or 'different sides of the same coin'. This statement just exposed your ignorance of history of both religions

Have you seen the face of the demon or what you were told to believe.
The bible said Satan is the most beautiful cherub.
Don't you read your bible.

Now, understand psychology and how brainwashing is done.
Satan was painted black. You are a black man.
Jesus was painted white. All of a sudden we have white people. Who is actually white in colour?
White was used to signify purity, dominance, saviour in otherworld as its happening today till you see it for what it is, the white people must continue to dominate and rule over you and you must see them as saviour.

This act was perfected the moment you didn't resist them with their so called trojan gift.
Some countries did and fought them. They used religion and education to lure you and end up taking you to be their slave forever. It will take millions of years to break away from the colonial mentality and it starts from your mindset.
Wonder why you change your accent,,bleach and prefer to eat pizza even though it's unhealthy to your local food?
My dear, you are not escaping anytime soon.
They even appoint your leaders and change them as they desire if they don't follow instructions.
That is how you mean nothing, absolutely nothing in the world scheme of things

Your epistle amounts to nothing. There are angels and there are spirits. Satan is a fallen angel but demons are not angels but merely malevolent spirits that can possess humans and animals which angels can't.
Acts 23:9 says, “…some of the teachers of the law who were Pharisees stood up and argued vigorously. ‘We find nothing wrong with this man,’ they said. “What if a spirit [pneuma] or an angel has spoken to him?”

The only difference between monotheism and “pagan” religion is that monotheists believe that only their imaginary friend exists while others are fake. Monotheists are actually insane and cause atrocities due to their intolerant beliefs.
And what you wrote is not the reason the Jesus character became a “god”. It was decided at a meeting of fancily dressed Romans deciding and politicking about their own delusions..

You only know part of the story actually the Romans did make Jesus into a god but Arianism proceeded the Romans and Jesus was just the Jewish king not God.

Monotheism is similar to a creation from singularity point and everything came forth from it. Thus creation expanded in sacred geometric patterns into different worlds which fractured from the singular point of light. Monotheism is simple, it presents an unified cosmos under a loving Creator who manages all its worlds and domains. Thus there is a holy name of God for every domain of existence but one God. Polytheism is complex it has thousands gods with each assigned to different domains with different personalities and flaws. So what one God likes another may dislike or even take offense. Monotheism is lived by being in obedience to cosmic laws while polytheism is about manipulation of energies to compensate for law violations.

Monotheism is the belief in one supreme being or God who created and governs the universe. In monotheism, there is a singular divine source that is responsible for all that exists. In contrast, polytheism is the belief in multiple gods or deities, each with their own domain or aspect of reality that they govern. Polytheistic religions typically have complex myths and stories about the interactions and relationships among the various gods. Monotheism, on the other hand, tends to emphasize the transcendent nature of the divine and the importance of obedience to the laws of the divine.

They foolishly threw away their religion, accepted their masters religion.

They idiotically , foolishly and stylishly throwing away their language. Which is their identities. But embrace their masters language, A large population of them can't read, write or speak their language properly.. Even their masters language, they can't speak it properly.

This idiota now is erecting a Jew man from Israel statue ....there is something wrong with the Black race...

To render a Race useless and confused , Is by taking away their religion and language languages.....And the White successfully did that......

Yes. Jesus was black and he was shot for your sins.

The Messiah was/is black but his name is Yahushua and not jesus.

A bit of reflection on His ancestry from biblical records supports it.

David was described as being ruddy meaning tan/black....

Solomon indicated a preference for black as he was black...

Song of Songs of Solomon 1:5-7

5 I am black and beautiful,
O daughters of Jerusalem,
like the tents of Kedar,
like the curtains of Solomon.

This would also point that at that time, the indigenous people in Jerusalem were blacks...

The revelation at Patmos.
Rev 1: 13-15
And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.

14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;

15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.....

Only the black race has wooly hair that turns white with advanced age .

Feet of brass - dark/black/tan tone would definitely belong to the black race.

The LIE here as presented in today's version of the bible is that the Son of Man that Paul wrote about is jesus chraestus the Roman god. This happened because the Romans compromised the bible. The Messianic identity was replaced with the idolic issus/jesus, all mentions of our heavenly Father Yah, (notice HalleluYah which means praise be to Yah) was replaced with an ordinary title as in Lord/God.

The popular bible as we now have it, is part- revised just to mar the black/hebreic identity and destroy/confuse all pointers to the truth.

Long story short: If it is true that the Messiah was/is black we should follow through with the conviction and call him by His name: Yahushua ha Mashiach. The idea that promotes Yahushua as same as or equal to the black jesus is false and still a deception.

The Cross River Government, led by Governor Bassey Otu, has demolished a historic monolith structure.

Reports indicate that it has been replaced with a statue of Jesus Christ as a shepherd leading his flocks. Additionally, the flag of Israel has been hung on the staff of the statue.

The monolith, known as the Ikom monoliths, is part of a series of volcanic-stone monoliths from the area of Ikom. The Ejagham people are believed to have engraved the monoliths around 200 CE.

The monolith stands between 0.3 and 1.8 metres (1 and 6 feet) high and is laid out in some 30 circles located around Alok in the Ikom area of Cross River State.

This change has sparked mixed reactions on social media.

The Ikom monoliths are a series of volcanic-stone monoliths from the area of Ikom, Cross River State, Nigeria. The Ejagham may have engraved the monoliths around 200 CE.[1]

Description
Numbering about 300 in total, the monoliths are between 0.3 and 1.8 metres (1 and 6 feet) high and are laid out in some 30 circles located around Alok in the Ikom area of Cross River State. The monoliths are phallic in form and some feature stylized faces as well as decorative patterns and inscriptions. Although the carvings have not been deciphered, researchers and linguists believe that the inscriptions may represent a form of writing and visual communication.[2][3]
