I think it's best we start thinking of schools that'll teach our children how to create jobs instead of sending them to expensive universities just for them to graduate and look for whom to slave for.
I'm just so glad that my son took after my reason.
Dude refused to sit the UTME until he has a well established fashion business.
Now he's in 200L and paying his own fees.

University education is something one should acquire for most disciplines when one is already working in the field with the exception of medicine- Even law, work as a clerk in a lawyer’s office first, know what you will be going into before you waste 5 years of your life to study something you may never use - most female lawyers are now into hair braiding and being make up artist.


University education is not meant to complete and start looking for a job, it is meant to compliment your personal path and professional growth in an already chosen field - but trust Nigerians to bastardize every thing under the sun - just like how we have bastardized democracy that we cant tell its difference from military dictatorship

I won’t castigate the university because I was a front liner in condemning covenant when it started.

I called it a missionary school that can NEVER compete with public schools.

I got humbled.

I still think you have a right to condemn the university.

Our secondary school is full of unnecessary courses,always finding x and drawing useless diagram and labeling them..

Finding x is not the goal. Those are elementary ways to build your problem solving skills. They force you to think hard and find solutions however the difficult the task seem

It is not the first private university in Nigeria, there is nothing wrong with them marketing their university online. If you know Peace Mass Transit, you will certainly know it is the strategy of the owner to getting huge patronage, every university wants sizeable population of undergrads and marketing their stuff online helps.

I got admitted to OAU, Ife in 2001. All the payments I made was N1,590. That N90 on top was for my accommodation.

When OAU introduced maintenance fees and other charges around 2003/2024, the amount that I was to pay was around N8,500. That amount was too much for me. I couldn't afford it. So, I have to do menial jobs to raise N8,500.

That amount (N8,500) is what I am paying presently for my child's lesson fees on a monthly basis.

Thank God I am a graduate.

Mine was 2,590 for accommodation in Moz, School fees was 18k plus then.
