She is unwise. Nowhere in the constitution is it unlawful to sing the old anthem....

Neither does the constitution anywhere set a penalty for not singing or not standing when an anthem is Sung.

It is an act of respect not an obligation by law.....

She is highly uneducated on matters of the law

Frivolous charge. You should even be arrested or charged for filing frivolous charge.

We all know it's already a law.
Weather we like it or not, we must respect the adopted heritage of Nigeria.

To talk of this, this new adopted national anthem is emotional. I'm always having goosebumps when I hear it... I still don't know why.
You get goosebumps by an anthem written by a British. How about Sir Ben Odiase who is our own blood?

Some of you are so so annoyingly myopic in your reasoning, and worst still you are too stupidly docile to be considered reasonable.
Tinubu has always said he doesn't like Arise o come patriot.
And because he is president he decides to change it. Is national anthem a personal desire of an individual? An issue as that is always put under public hearing where Nigerians and stakeholders will have a forum to discuss and agree on it. A National issue it is never a thing for an individual to decide. But most of you supporters of Tinubu are so blind to your evil that you have never seen anything wrong with him even when he has ruined the economy to make hunger want to kill you people. Anything Tinubu does or say is correct for you people.
All these silly Emilokan mentality of Tinubu on National issues must stop.
Brainless zombies.
National anthem or no national anthem, the question is; is this supposed to be best time to change national anthem when many Nigerians are dying of hunger and the economy is draining at high pace in just one year in office. This can only happen when a purported leader is extremely clueless and has nothing to offer. Many might not even learn this new anthem till he leaves office, hence what is the economic importance of this anthem?

No one is above the law. They can talk of rejecting it or refuse to sing it. But the day they'll be found singing another national anthem other than the one approved, then you'll see their folly being treated accordingly.

Let’s say they arrest them , charge them to court and sentence them to prison. So, what will now be ur gain Dolapo ?

The Nigeria police that could not solve high profile murder cases like Bola Ige’s , Dipo Dina’s, Harry Marshall’s etc is suddenly proactive in arresting people who are not singing the new national anthem 3 days after it was signed into law .

SMH 🤦‍♂️

People should familiarise themselves with the National Anthems Act 2024 so that they won't be unfortunate o. That Act has teeth that can bite. Even Aisha the berobed one is just being ignored not to turn her into an obidient icon - if you are not an opposition leader don't try stunts with the new anthem.

I do not belong to any political party in Nigeria. If I were to join any, it would have been the Labour Party but thank God I waited long enough to see the true characters of everyone affiliated with the party.

You guys always reveal yourselves everywhere you go. Even when you try to pretend to be intelligent at the beginning, your collective lack of it always quickly becomes obvious because intelligence is not something you can pretend to have.

But one thing that baffles me till date is why there doesn't seem to be any intelligent obidient. All my years of following Nigerian politics I've always seen good arguments from both sides of the divide, whether APC or PDP, ACN or even SDP, you see reasons why you may want to go along with either side. But when it came to Labour Party you guys took it to a whole new level of personal attacks and vendettas. Anyone who seems to be for the opposition is your enemy straight up: no semblance of professionalism whatsoever.

FYI, don't expect any further response

Please all of you should come here and learn the new national item o

Nigeria, we hale thee,

Our own dear native land,

Though tribe and tongue may different,

In brotherhood, we stand,

Nigerians all, and proud to serve

Our suffering Motherland.

Our flag shall be a sinmbol

That truth and justice rain,

In peace or battle honour’d,

And this we count as gain,

To hand on to our children

A banner without stain.

O God of all creation,

Grant this our one request,

Help us to build a nation

Where no man is oppressed,

And so with peace and plenty

Nigeria may be blessed.
The anthem is nice but ironically it's so unfortunate

Your submission reeks of hypocrisy. I find it incomprehensible how you have decided i am LP while claiming to be apolitical in a subtle way. These actions is only associated with the APC lying gangs. They are masters in propaganda. @ bolded You determined that I am an LP even though am not and believed that I am attacking you, even though I never attacked you. I only humbly requested you to introduce me to your APC cult where I can be nurtured, remolded in the act of hypocrisy, mediocrity and lies for some stipends at the end of the month because "country hard now".
