Don't watch movies on the go on your smartTv, instead download and watch and that will save your data.

Only football makes me still have my DSTV. I also resell IPTV but IPTV is not so reliable as it buffers sometimes depending on the channel (This has nothing to do with internet speed). Plus, your TV has to be able to install the IPTV so ur smart TV might not do the job unless you have an Android TV or an Android box/stick connected to your TV. It's not easy.😂 I have 4 routers

1. Spectranet - Best so far in terms of everything. But the max unlimited is 300GB FUP @26k monthly. They have spectranet fiber and home broadband which are cheaper but in selected estates

2. Swift - The worst! Truly unlimited but with snail speed

3. MTN 5g Router - Very fast But Very Expensive monthly for above 300GB

4. Tizetti - Complicated and Slow.

Starlink would have been best but for the high cost of purchase. I can only get it if u have perfect substitute to watching football on DSTV.

Imagine the stress and cost. That’s what I’m talking about. BTW you can view program schedules, record, etc.

It depends on quality. Maybe he is watching on 1080p, while yours is set to 380p/480p. He has to reduce the quality to 480p if he wants the data to last longer.
Better still, he can go for all these fiber unlimited plans for like 12,500 up. Like Onedata, fiberone etc

I use starlink when in abuja. Device is 400-550k. Subscription starts at 38k per month. Worth it. There are other unlimited options, but most require radios

Hope you stay in an Airtel 5G Zone. That's the only way to Enjoy the Hertz 6 or Whatever 5G Band. I am using Nokia 5G Fast Mile Reciever and Beacon and so far, it works well and fast. The X25 Pro Device is aslo good too

I'm also on the search for the most affordable monthly plan for smart TV and laptop. We got an MTN router and did one plan for 8k and the data got exhausted by the next day. How can one unlock the router so I can do the unlimited Airtel subscription?

You are better off buying a standalone 4g router. Eg tplink. Then you can use any sim with it. There are so called ways of unlocking older routers but because this is an issue limited to Nigeria unlocking is monetized and unreliable.

With a standalone router you can change anytime. Also if it is a modern router and you take your time you can identify you data leaks. As you live in lagos I would personally advise swift or spectranet (I use swift) because swift has some plans with free data periods.

I limit my downloads to these periods. This only works if you are the solo user sha. The rest of the fam does not have Internet discipline

I am not really a News Person. I Stream more of Sports/ Movies but kindly Share Info cos it is of benefit that one to know about it
Nice to read you stream live sports. I don’t know if dropping the link here will lead to it being blocked. It’s the same link that has the news channels, documentary channels, movies channels, etc. It has lots of interesting channels like: bein, ss, am, etc.

Download Iptv Smarters or any xtreamcodes compatible app & enjoy this on your screen/phone

Use these details:

http://556677.ovh:25461
Username ➤4k5lpiwo
Password ➤1hqb9wk3
(as seen online sha) - lots of channels (add working ones to favorites to make it easy to access the channels you like watching)

They say IPTV is illegal so VPN is advised. Pay for deesteevee subscription instead.

I think expensive is the word.

What is IPTV, please?

Internet Protocol television.
It uses IP addresses for connection.
E.g 172.128.2.5 is an IP,
It then connect to a DNS server.
Domain name server(a converter from ip to name ie from 172.128.2.5 to www.pocohantas.com)

It is best enjoyed when you have unlimited internet...

Re: My Experience Using A Smart TV by finni(m): 7:01am On Jun 24
You can only enjoy a smart TV in fullest if you have access to unlimited data subscription. In Ikorodu, I use Proline optical fiber N15k monthly for 10mps unlimited.

FiberOne optical fibre charges N13k monthly for their unlimited subscription for residential too.

Thanks. I am not really worried about it as I have gotten used to data and electricity costs due to my work. However, people kept mentioning smart tv and I almost thought it was free to use. So, it was more of a shock for me.

The airtel 5g router sounds like a good idea. That is if truly Airtel offers unlimited at 20k.

If you're in Lagos, there are MANY fibre internet providers that offer unlimited internet for cheap - approx N15k for their cheapest plans.

Some good options are LuluFibre and Fibrenet. You also have bigger name companies that typically operate only in the VI - Lekki axis.

I suggest you don't go the Glo/MTN/Airtel route, it's more expensive.

I did the MTN 1TB annual sub. My wife started running it down, I sharply calculated and limited the data to 4GB per day.

If she watch reach 4GB, the network begin frustrate her until she turn off the tv go rest.

It lasted for 9-10 months sha.

You don't believe the other side is dishing out propaganda, too. Or you just prefer Russian propaganda?

To me, Western propaganda is more subtle, but Russian own is the in-your-face type sha.

Both dish out propaganda sha.

both sides dishes out propaganda. No doubt, but I'm more convenient listening to the propaganda of the middle East, Eastern Europe and Asia rather than then hypocritical west.

No need to screen or cast. That's old school!. All he need is a Smart box not Smart TV! Smart box consumes data at the same rate as the phone.

The Ops doesn't seem to know the difference between smart box and smart TV. Attached shows pictures of smart boxes. Been using mind for 8yrs now.

With smart box, you can even connect it to the old cathode ray tube TV.

Basically, smart box turns any TV to smart TV. Don't buy the "high end smart TVs". Just buy ordinary TV and a smart box Shikena.

The OPS doesn't follow simple instructions.

I also have smart TV at home, but I ignore the smartness in the TV, but instead use a smart box and use the TV as just ordinary TV.
You're very correct. Same thing I did and instructed several others to do.
My android box is even smarter than my smart tv and with IPTV, the world is in my hands.

For people's info, smart boxes have HDMI port, Av, USB ports.

One of the problems in Nigeria is that Internet is too expensive. I pay just 20 quid monthly for unlimited Internet in Europe. I guess every home use a smart TV here and it is a big deal in Nigeria. So sad....
Truly sad. You need to spend a king's ransom for fast, reliable, internet. Something that is normal in other countries.
These days I find myself thinking more and more about the unfairness of being a Nigerian in Nigeria.
