2024 Yache Cultural Day: Odey Seeks Support From Mossi Ekpari Families To Boost by Orabi(m): 6:23pm On Jun 02
Committee Chairman for the 2024 Yache National Cultural Day Celebration, Comrade Lawrence Odey, has called the Yache family meetings to support the fourth coming Yache National Cultural Day Celebration with a view to fostering unity and coexistence amongst the various clans that make up the Yache Nation.

Comrade Lawrence Odey stated this during a courtesy visit to Kubwa Family Meeting, Abuja ( Mossi Ekpari) to seek for partnership and support ahead of the Yache National Cultural Day Celebration, an annual event organized by the YCDA.

Comrade Odey who was in the company of the National Facilitator, Comrade Benjamin Egbede, Madam Regina Odene and Godwin Amunde, members of the media team for the 2024 Yache National Cultural Day Celebration, noted that building a community required a collective responsibility.

Odey said: “We are here today to seek your support ahead of the Yache National Cultural Day Celebration slated for August this year. We have realized the caliber of persons that formed the composition of the Kubwa Family Meeting and we can not afford to do without you.

“We hereby enjoin you all to support us to achieve success because we cannot do it alone, as building a community demands a collective responsibility.”

National Facilitator of the Yache Youth Forum and Chairman, Yache Peace and Security Committee, Comrade Benjamin Egbede, while commending the Kubwa Family Meeting Abuja (Mossi Ekpari) for the pivotal roles they have played in the past, emphasized the need for them to attend the Symposium that is set to hold on the 15th of June.

“I want to urge you all to attend the Symposium on community development that is set to hold on the 15th of June at Heritage Hotels Mararaba, Nasarawa State. This Symposium is part of the activities to mark the Yache National Cultural Day Celebration. All Yache sons and daughters are expected to be there, he added.”

Comrade Egbede, who briefly highlighted the origin of the Yache National Cultural Day Celebration, added that the annual celebration has come a long way and that all hands must be on deck to make it a success.

In his remarks, chairman of the Kubwa Family Meeting ( Mossi Ekpari), Elder Okwor Ozeka who revealed that the family meeting has been in existence for over 20 years, promised that the association would support the YCDA, aimed towards building the Yache Nation. He further assured members of the 2024 Cultural Day committee that they would put in their best possible effort to support all programs lined up to herald the events, such as the Symposium slated for 15th of June.

Chairlady of the Kubwa family meeting, CSP Justina Anyogo in her remarks, said aside individual registration, there was need for the Yache family meetings to be fully registered under the umbrella of the YCDA which is the parent body of all other Yache family meetings across the country. This, according to her, would make Yache a more formidable force to be reckoned with.

Elder Michael Idagu, Noel Ogar, Pius Okpagu among several other highly respected individuals in Yache who formed composition of the Kubwa family meeting, also known as, “Mossi Ekpari” who both made fruitful contributions towards building the Yache Nation, also enjoined all to make concerted efforts towards the success of these events.
