Breaking: Yahoo Boys Kidnap 4 persons in Awka, residents kick

No fewer than four persons have been kidnapped in Oganiru estate in Awka, Anambra state, following the invasion of alleged'Yahoo boys' in the area.

The estate, is opposite Esther Obiakor estate, along ifite area and shares boundary with Nnamdi Azikiwe University(UNIZIK)

The Razor, gathered that no fewer than 13 'yahoo boy' occupy one of the flats in the Oganiru estate, which has instilled fears in the residents.

It was further gathered that the Yahoo boys pulled down part of the fence where they sneak in and out of the estate without making use of the main gate.

According to sources in the estate, "what they do is to trail their target from the estate and kidnap the person outside to make it look like they're not involved.

"As we speak, about four members of the estate had been kidnapped in recent time. We also, noticed that they don't attend meetings in the estate"

The Razor, further gathered that most of the people that live in the Oganiru estate were medical doctors, lawyers, academics and Journalists.

Some of the residents who spoke with Our Reporter, said they were no longer comfortable in the area.

They said members of the estate had decided to involve security operatives in addition to the ones in place.

Also, part of the fence, allegedly, pulled down at the back of the estate by the Yahoo boys,were being repaired with immediate effect.

That was how mafia gangs all over the world started, from petty theft to major criminal activities.
This must be addressed immediately before they begin to form structure.
