Class size is an educational tool that can be described as an average number of students per class in a school, it is a number of students per teacher in a class. Overcrowded classrooms is always among the reason for truancy among students. Students enjoy reading in classrooms that are conducive for learning. Overcrowded classroom could lead to bullying and other form of social vices among students. Larger classes are proven to make it more difficult for teachers to set and enforce behavioral expectations, monitor students, and pay individual attention to each student. Larger class sizes lead to more disorder in the classroom which ultimately affects student learning. Truancy and school indiscipline result in negative consequences including a decline in academic achievements, a greater likelihood of dropping out of school, poor health and wellbeing outcomes, and an increased risk and involvement in the sacred justice system. Classroom interaction experience is one of the main parts of students’ learning lives. However, surprisingly little research has investigated students’ perceptions of classroom interaction with different attendance policies across different class sizes in the higher education system. That is why the author took out time to explain the classroom size and truancy level nexus.
