Minimum Wage: I Can’t Pay My Four Drivers N100,000 Per Month – SGF Akume by BUDGETBOOSTS: 9:57am On Jun 07, 2024
Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, has lamented that the wage increase demands being made by organized labour are not realistic.

Akume said this in Abuja on Thursday during a meeting with the National Executive Council, NEC, of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN.

The former Benue State Governor appealed to the Christian community for support as the tripartite Committee on minimum wage continues with negotiations.

According to him, paying a minimum wage of N100,000 to his drivers will be a difficult responsibility.

“I can’t afford to pay my driver one hundred thousand because they are four,” Akume lamented.

He decried the demands made by the organised labour, adding, “Where do we get that money from?”

1) you don't need four drivers, hoo!!! haa!!
2) if rice is 7000 under jonathan, but 85000 under tinubu, it means 70000 is equivalent to
70000/85000 x 7000 which gives #5764 under jonathan, your a wicked man, even chicken can't survive with such amount.
3) you have been in this APC disasttous government since inception, therfore you and your colleagues, caused this collapse of the country, in other countries, you guys would have ended up behind bars, but here, lets start with you paying those drivers above #250000, each per month as plea bargain.
